my dad just picked one up the other day for 550 bucks...runs great the only thing that doesnt work is the cd changer and the button on the shifter pops out (the tab that keeps it in broke) and a couple of the buttons on the temp controll have the centers broken out but other than that the interior is perfect and the same with the exterior

The Lincoln Mark VIII is probably the most unique 2 Door Coupe i've ever seen.....it has the power and handling of a Sports car,yet its as luxurious and soft riding as a Towncar lol.
@arontee actually the cam grind is very similar. lol. But yes the n/a cobra's had the same block as the Mark VIII, however they had forged internals, upgraded cylinder heads and intake. I still wanna do a topend conversion on my MarkVIII... but I need time and money... lots of money. :D

Nah he started in first, thats the way these cars are geared. My Grand Marquis is the same, 2.84 first gear and 2.73 final drive ratio, it will also do 50MPH before it goes to 2nd. Id like to change to a 3.27 or 3.55 but then that would kill the 26 MPG I get with it :-/
Ive got 3:55 gears in the rear of my CV. Switched from the highway rear 2:84. Really woke the car up but gas mileage went from 24 to 20. But thats all city driving.
If your 160K car is running slow give it the bowl of wheaties. Fresh iginition wires, plugs, cap, fuel and air filters , along with a couple of rounds with good fuel additive are usually enough change my performance.
depends on what mustangs you're talking about, the mark 8s have the 4.6 4v which is actually the cobra motor (96-04), gt's are the 4.6 2vs from 96-04 =P

yea it should be faster... mine did 0-60 in less than 7 before the chip... now it's 0-60 at just a hair over 6. and i've got the same mod's.. except i don't have an off the shelf chip mine's a custom tuned unit. ur aurora will take that mark VIII.. it took 18sec to go to 100... that's bad.. she's not happy.
the car needs a full tune up. i have 160,000 miles on her now so the i think the go fast days are over........maybe. i still want to take her to the track to see what she'll do in the 1/4 mile. but any help wit tune up parts are welcome. like brands and stuff.

Just went out a did a 0-100 run in my 95Mark VIII LSC I got a bit sideways at about 75 so I let off the nailed it and 100 was easy! I need to max her out and see what it feels like! Cat back is next chip is already in about 325rwhp now! Performance air intake is on order, maybe better gears!

This car gets a great gas mileage in highway. I have 94 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC,
I gets around 34 mpg in highway. 60 mph in 1400 RPM. Keeps the engine in low speed in high speed get good gas mileage.
