  • It is Rio Gallegos, not Galagos, refering to the people who came to Argentina when the inmigration, from Galicia, the region in Spain, ca. 1920. The complete name for the city is Río Gallegos (Gallegos River. The train is the coal patagonic train which transport the coal from the Rio Turbio mines over the west, at the Los Andes mountains, up to the east coast in Rio Gallegos where it is dumped into large ships for transporting the coal to some industrial points in Argentina.
