@djbehemoth You're entitled to your opinion, but regardless of it, this world is crashing and I won't put my faith in the rule and order of the world because it's compromised, unwholesome, dark lost and misguided. I don't just walk by faith, I walk by relationship with Jesus and afterwards am walking in faith that God will continue to do more. @nanggitata OF COURSE I read it with my own understanding, I didn't pretend to have imaginary lenses that blocked out the bad verses and magnified the good ones like you did. The New Testament doesn't allow women to speak in church and actually says that's it a disgrace for them to do so.

Christianity is about love and mercy. It does deal with judgment, but Jesus came and took that punishment for us. Thats why its about the love and mercy of God because He came and took our place. "For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we might be saved." Jesus is the only way. He was the only one qualified to pave the way. Its called the straight and the narrow. Without Jesus, everyone goes to hell. God sent Jesus so no one would have to go there.

However, he is also merciful, which is why in the OT he let the blood of an unblemished goat or sheep be the substitute sacrifice for the people's sins, instead of the people themselves. He never asked for human sacrifice. If a person was to take the punishment, he would die and be eternally condemned.
Jesus never specified when he would come. He just gave us the signs of the times--Matt. 24--and said to watch and be ready. The disciples thought he would come in a generation but God obviously had a bigger plan. He said he was coming "soon." To us, soon means tomorrow or next year, but to God "a thousand years are like a day and a day is like a thousand years."
We are saved FOR works. We do nothing to be saved, that was completed on the cross when Jesus said, "It is finished." However, we prove our faith by our works. It just like sitting in a chair to prove you know it will hold you up. Thats why James said "Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do." Whats the use of a chair if you don't sit in it?
Like I said, he is the fulfillment of the law, which required a sheep to be slaughtered. Thats why he's called the Lamb of God. All the OT did was point to Jesus, who came "when the time had fully come." We know he's divine because he said that "he and the Father are one." Plus he was born of a virgin. He's 100% man--his mother was Mary, and 100% God. His Father is God.
Hey, I've been checking out your debates with people, hope you don't mind if I jump in. First of all, the Bible has no record of human sacrifice to God except for Jesus, and He is God. They sacrificed sheep because without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. It was unblemished so it could temporarily take away the sin of the people. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, once and for all. He is the fulfillment of the law. After him there need be no other sacrifice.
Actually, Protestants take communion too but they don't believe in transubstansiation (sp?). They believe it is merely symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus. The reason we take it is because it reminds us that we have been sanctified and justified by His death and then resurrection three days later.

@djbehemoth It's like I said earlier, you clearly don't understand Bible prophecy. If you did you would know EXACTLY what I was talking about in Daniel. When you compare Daniel with history it is fulfilled like a blueprint. There is no 'reusing' my friend. Your head is in books, ancient literature and man made traditions when if you really had a heart for Jesus Christ it would be in the Word. Romans, Ephesians and even the 4 gospels make it clear that Jesus was not a Catholic.
@djbehemoth As far as James saying works over faith. Read the book of Romans. The book makes it clear we are saved solely by the grace of God through faith my friend. So does this mean the Bible is contradicting itself? Of course not! You have to take the book as a whole from Genesis to Revelation. Anybody can take a 'verse or passage' out of the Bible and create any religion they want. Don't let 'history books' tell you how to be saved. Spend time in the Word my friend.
@djbehemoth You clearly don't understand Bible prophecy and the symbology that goes along with it. You need to let the Bible interpret the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. You can't just read a passage and conclude that you understand what it is saying. Daniel predicted the whole nine yards my friend. Your situation is similar to millions of others. You would rather watch the history channel and read history books and listen to college professors instead of going directly to the Word.
@djbehemoth As far as the 2nd commandment. The Catholic church changed it in their catechesims. Not to mention all of the man made traditions the Catholic church has created. @djbehemoth You completely missed the prophecy in Daniel that predicted the exact day Christ would begin his ministry. It also predicted the exact day he would be crucified. As far as needing the Catholic church, we have the Dead Sea Scrolls that date back from 100bc to 250 bc. Comparing the text then and now we still have the Bible translated correctly. The Bible is translationally consistent my friend. You aren't going to learn prophecy in one day.

@djbehemoth We dont take communion as christians thats a catholic tradition. Right see on the surface it looks like human sacrifice but you have to understand the times, the world was murdering for sport there was no morality, so God came down as a man to live like us and suffer on Earth as we do, he would have quite easily pleaded guilty and wouldnt have been crucified for it, why would a normal man willingly do that? And its not about acceptance its about FAITH in God and the good in everyone
@djbehemoth First of all, Roman Catholic is not Christian far far from it. Second there is more historical proof and scientific fact behind the Bible than any book written in the history of mankind. @djbehemoth I can understand where your coming from but to understand the bible you cant just read it as it stands you have to put it into context. I think what Leviticus means isnt refering to sacrifice but simple devotion like a man should be to his wife. As for the second part (29) Thats the simple ideology we used today with murderers. @djbehemoth My understanding is Jesus wasnt sacrificed to his father, but he was sacrificed so that our sins would be forgiven. I am NOT a catholic and do not agree with a lot of catholic traditions, for example confession to a priest, you confess your sins to Fred Smith who will cleanse you of them..who is he to cleanse you, only God can forgive you, confess to him and he will forgive you.
@djbehemoth Yea exactly they say theres a direction then all of sudden its random mutations. I dont believe in creation exactly the way the bible tells it. Thats the great thing about the church I go to they dont force it down your throat as fact, and they are open to different interpretations. I think we have evolved to some extent but we have definetly been set on a course to be the way we are not just a random mutuation that made us look like this.
@djbehemoth continued...When i did i just felt like a weight was off my shoulders, like i was doing the right thing. My life got better and then one of the leaders gave me a book called "The Case For A Creator by Lee Strobel" at first i was skeptic, but i gave it a shot. It really made me have a whole philosophical change because i WAS a BIG believer in evolution. I'm not sure what kind of christian i am but my friend used the term "Born Again Christian"
@djbehemoth Im glad your taking an open approach to this unlike others on the internet. Well the church I attend is based off the hillsong church. I'm not from a christian or religious background at all. The reason i became a christian was simply my friend is a drummer in the band and i play guitar so she asked me to just go down and see what i thought. So i listened to the speaches and they always had a lesson to teach about how have a better relationship with God.

Im basically a believe from a biological stand point because of how complex the human body is and how the scientific community love to use this expression, "random occurances", sorry right but they have used phrase to death. I've only become a christian in the last couple months because after looking at Darwins Evolution theory there is so much more to prove it wrong that to prove it correct. Evolution is being teached as fact which is wrong.

@chutedent not really those verses can be interpreted many ways , paul commands us all men and women to profecice and listen and both man and women speak in tounges, many denominations belive that with the gift of tounges also comes the command to preach the gospel plus the first person to ever preach the gospel was a women she told the diciples bout christ resurection but they did not belive her
I know this comment was not directed towards me, but I would like to respond. These verses seem very harsh at first glance...but as far as I know, what God is trying to say here is when a woman has a controversial issue that she feels needs to be addressed, she should talk it over with her husband before confronting it and be sure that they are in unison. It is basically saying that women should not act out of their emotion and possibly be destructive to the message being taught.
God was totally moving! They are doing something right because they are drawing in so many people. Personally I love that kind of service. If you want to attract the younger generation this is the way to do it!

@djbehemoth You're entitled to your opinion, but regardless of it, this world is crashing and I won't put my faith in the rule and order of the world because it's compromised, unwholesome, dark lost and misguided. I don't just walk by faith, I walk by relationship with Jesus and afterwards am walking in faith that God will continue to do more. I've felt Jesus and so have millions, I'm not angry that you insult me but rather sad to see the anguish you're putting yourself through. God bless you.=)

@djbehemoth We don't fear death, we put trust and security in the Father. The world's demands don't matter when you reach this spiritual Euphoria, where you have Jesus, His unconditional love and sit with a smile upon your face, having little in world value but in the kingdom, rewards and undying love; I believe that the bible says that if you never got the chance to know Jesus, you are judged by what you know. It's not like everyone who didn't get to hear about Jesus goes to hell y'know? lol=)

@nanggitata OF COURSE I read it with my own understanding, I didn't pretend to have imaginary lenses that blocked out the bad verses and magnified the good ones like you did. The New Testament doesn't allow women to speak in church and actually says that's it a disgrace for them to do so.

@TheMoTucker in the context of the women not being able to speak was from tradition of the time people lived back then. Alot of things women werent able to do. It wasnt any different back then. The Bible will not be easy to understand if your reading with a close mind and closed heart. If you do not understand the Lord you will not understand his Word. @Jerzchula2009 If the Bible was really divinely inspired, it would transcend eras. It would be so amazing, we couldn't help but accept it.
But what do we have instead? We have a book that endorses slavery, bigotry, misogyny, and murder.
If that's a book that's divinely inspired by an omniscient and omnipotent being, I'm very unimpressed.
It could have been inspired by any bronze age Arab farmer and it would be indistinguishable from what was supposedly divinely inspired.

Christianity is about love and mercy. It does deal with judgment, but Jesus came and took that punishment for us. Thats why its about the love and mercy of God because He came and took our place. "For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we might be saved." Jesus is the only way. He was the only one qualified to pave the way. Its called the straight and the narrow. Without Jesus, everyone goes to hell. God sent Jesus so no one would have to go there.

So, "when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons." Jesus fulfilled the law, he did no sin. Sin=death. Therefore, when he laid down his life he was laying it down for us instead of for himself because he himself had no sin to die for. Thats why they call it Substitutionary Atonement. But all thats a mute point unless you believe that Jesus is who he says he is.

The basis of Jesus' sacrifice is this: God is holy and just, meaning that he cannot let sin into His presence and He cannot let a sin go unpunished. However, he is also merciful, which is why in the OT he let the blood of an unblemished goat or sheep be the substitute sacrifice for the people's sins, instead of the people themselves. He never asked for human sacrifice. If a person was to take the punishment, he would die and be eternally condemned.

Jesus never specified when he would come. He just gave us the signs of the times--Matt. 24--and said to watch and be ready. The disciples thought he would come in a generation but God obviously had a bigger plan. He said he was coming "soon." To us, soon means tomorrow or next year, but to God "a thousand years are like a day and a day is like a thousand years."

We are saved FOR works. We do nothing to be saved, that was completed on the cross when Jesus said, "It is finished." However, we prove our faith by our works. It just like sitting in a chair to prove you know it will hold you up. Thats why James said "Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do." Whats the use of a chair if you don't sit in it?

Like I said, he is the fulfillment of the law, which required a sheep to be slaughtered. Thats why he's called the Lamb of God. All the OT did was point to Jesus, who came "when the time had fully come." We know he's divine because he said that "he and the Father are one." Plus he was born of a virgin. He's 100% man--his mother was Mary, and 100% God. His Father is God.

Hey, I've been checking out your debates with people, hope you don't mind if I jump in. First of all, the Bible has no record of human sacrifice to God except for Jesus, and He is God. They sacrificed sheep because without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. It was unblemished so it could temporarily take away the sin of the people. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, once and for all. He is the fulfillment of the law. After him there need be no other sacrifice.

Actually, Protestants take communion too but they don't believe in transubstansiation (sp?). They believe it is merely symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus. The reason we take it is because it reminds us that we have been sanctified and justified by His death and then resurrection three days later.

@djbehemoth It's like I said earlier, you clearly don't understand Bible prophecy. If you did you would know EXACTLY what I was talking about in Daniel. When you compare Daniel with history it is fulfilled like a blueprint. There is no 'reusing' my friend. Your head is in books, ancient literature and man made traditions when if you really had a heart for Jesus Christ it would be in the Word. Romans, Ephesians and even the 4 gospels make it clear that Jesus was not a Catholic.

@djbehemoth As far as James saying works over faith. Read the book of Romans. The book makes it clear we are saved solely by the grace of God through faith my friend. So does this mean the Bible is contradicting itself? Of course not! You have to take the book as a whole from Genesis to Revelation. Anybody can take a 'verse or passage' out of the Bible and create any religion they want. Don't let 'history books' tell you how to be saved. Spend time in the Word my friend.

@djbehemoth You clearly don't understand Bible prophecy and the symbology that goes along with it. You need to let the Bible interpret the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. You can't just read a passage and conclude that you understand what it is saying. Daniel predicted the whole nine yards my friend. Your situation is similar to millions of others. You would rather watch the history channel and read history books and listen to college professors instead of going directly to the Word.

The Catholic church is a big joke. And as far as the Pope claiming to be the replacement for Jesus and to forgive sins. The Bible makes it clear that is BLASPHEMY. @djbehemoth You completely missed the prophecy in Daniel that predicted the exact day Christ would begin his ministry. It also predicted the exact day he would be crucified. As far as needing the Catholic church, we have the Dead Sea Scrolls that date back from 100bc to 250 bc. Comparing the text then and now we still have the Bible translated correctly. The Bible is translationally consistent my friend. You aren't going to learn prophecy in one day.

Also, if the Catholic church is not perverted, then why do they take the 2nd commandment out of their catechism books and split the tenth commandment. They take out the command about the 'idols.'

Right see on the surface it looks like human sacrifice but you have to understand the times, the world was murdering for sport there was no morality, so God came down as a man to live like us and suffer on Earth as we do, he would have quite easily pleaded guilty and wouldnt have been crucified for it, why would a normal man willingly do that? And its not about acceptance its about FAITH in God and the good in everyone

Not only that but the Bible is the only book that accurately predicts the future and right now we are currently seeing world events taking shape precisely in accordance with Bible prophecy. @djbehemoth I can understand where your coming from but to understand the bible you cant just read it as it stands you have to put it into context. I think what Leviticus means isnt refering to sacrifice but simple devotion like a man should be to his wife. As for the second part (29) Thats the simple ideology we used today with murderers. Ok maybe we dont kill them as often in executions, for example Saddam he was an evil man and was hung for it. Like God does not accept the wicked into heaven

@djbehemoth My understanding is Jesus wasnt sacrificed to his father, but he was sacrificed so that our sins would be forgiven. I am NOT a catholic and do not agree with a lot of catholic traditions, for example confession to a priest, you confess your sins to Fred Smith who will cleanse you of them..who is he to cleanse you, only God can forgive you, confess to him and he will forgive you.

@djbehemoth Yea exactly they say theres a direction then all of sudden its random mutations. I dont believe in creation exactly the way the bible tells it. Thats the great thing about the church I go to they dont force it down your throat as fact, and they are open to different interpretations. I think we have evolved to some extent but we have definetly been set on a course to be the way we are not just a random mutuation that made us look like this.

@djbehemoth continued...When i did i just felt like a weight was off my shoulders, like i was doing the right thing. My life got better and then one of the leaders gave me a book called "The Case For A Creator by Lee Strobel" at first i was skeptic, but i gave it a shot. It really made me have a whole philosophical change because i WAS a BIG believer in evolution. I'm not sure what kind of christian i am but my friend used the term "Born Again Christian"

I'm not from a christian or religious background at all. The reason i became a christian was simply my friend is a drummer in the band and i play guitar so she asked me to just go down and see what i thought. So i listened to the speaches and they always had a lesson to teach about how have a better relationship with God.

Im basically a believe from a biological stand point because of how complex the human body is and how the scientific community love to use this expression, "random occurances", sorry right but they have used phrase to death. I've only become a christian in the last couple months because after looking at Darwins Evolution theory there is so much more to prove it wrong that to prove it correct. Evolution is being teached as fact which is wrong.

From what I have studied and know about myself on a biological level i have no doubt there is a creator. For example, the structure of DNA has a specific order and pattern, if it is not in this order it does not support life, so the chances of this order occuring once is 1 in 100 trillion trillion trillion trillion etc

@chutedent not really those verses can be interpreted many ways , paul commands us all men and women to profecice and listen and both man and women speak in tounges, many denominations belive that with the gift of tounges also comes the command to preach the gospel plus the first person to ever preach the gospel was a women she told the diciples bout christ resurection but they did not belive her

I know this comment was not directed towards me, but I would like to respond. These verses seem very harsh at first glance...but as far as I know, what God is trying to say here is when a woman has a controversial issue that she feels needs to be addressed, she should talk it over with her husband before confronting it and be sure that they are in unison. It is basically saying that women should not act out of their emotion and possibly be destructive to the message being taught.

Nice song, however I notice alot of ladies are wearing clothes not to compliment their faces but to show their boobs. Those creature worshipers(sugar christians) are really getting in a lather. I get like this in my closet while praying and really got into a lather after seeing Dad in action in Haiti. The major contractions are more frequent and in no time I will be with Dad!
