I don't feel that this demo really shows that chlorine is being absorbed. How do you know that the pH of the water isn't being neutralized with the oils and salts on our skin?
Nice trick! Natural acidity in the skin or some acid like lemon juice or vingar applied to the hand before dipping it in the glass would change the PH of the water and yield a difference of color change from the tester drops.
Do the same demonstration, but instead of dipping your hand into the glass, put a drop or two of lemon juice in there and see if the results are any different. LOL
