@sonimatic I didn't like White Water Landing all that much, and Maverick makes me forget about anything there before it. Maverick is the best ride in the park, without question. (IMO)
I really don't like Maverick, I find it rough and it hurts your thighs, especially if your the first train launched as you sit in the blocks behind the station longer. It also hurts my neck, but it is a cool coaster to look at. It is different which is cool, But I really think White Water Landing was the better ride in that spot.
@MLforce During testing, it was determined that the forces exerted on the trains were too much, and would end up being too costly to maintain. No one really knows what the forces would have been on the riders as I think only one or two people (Intamin execs) ever rode it with the heartline still in place.
When you pass by the old station for White Water Landing where the queue line for Maverick is and you find the current employee entrance, you can still see "Exit Only" on one of the boards for the railing. It gave me a very creeped out feeling.
I miss White Water Landing, but I really love Maverick in it's place. Beautiful coaster, #2 in my book under Millennium Force. I also love how they recycled the old station platform for White Water Landing for use of the Queue Line for Maverick, good use and also nostalgic.
Should be danger zone by kenny logins instead of bon jovi. I love bon jovi but they should have tom cruises face on the ride and play danger zone when riding the ride

@rollerghost615 a force is any push or pull, they named it millenium force because it had a FORCE of 93 miles an hour. which was the highest at that time. so the force on maverick is not as high as millenium, but maverick is intense .
@xman44646 93MPH is the SPEED of the ride, not the force. You'll feel force when there is a change in direction. There's forces at the bottom and top of hills, during turns or sudden stops, or starts, like launches. While you may be pulling around 5 G's at the bottom of Millennium Force's drop, its because you're changing directions from down to up, not because you're traveling at 93 MPH. The rest of the ride is tame compared to the quick turns on Maverick. Maverick overall has more forces.

i went on this twice in a row!! i waited like 2 hours total for this ride! its totally worth the wait. Very fast!! I would pay a million dollers to have this moved into my backyard..

i love this coaster i rode it for the first time not that long ago and i have to say it is EPIC i love the part when you go into the tunnel under the boarding platform when it slowed down i was like its over already and right after i said that it sped up again and i flipped off the camera just before it sped up it was fun as hell

@thedimeckks It happens quite often. It depends on the dispatch interval between trains. Sometimes the ride ops can get the 2nd train out so that they "duel" with the first train running along the 2nd half of the ride.
they usually are long BUT it depends on the month and time of the day you go. mid-summer in ohio is very very humid and HOT so wear as little as you can(within reason:-) ) the park has many water rides to keep you cool so you have that going for you! cedar point is a blast to go to, you will not be disappointed believe me!!
this is actually the only roller coaster I have yet to ride at Cedar Point. But I think that will change during the summer as I am working at Cedar Point (On the Corkscrew) So I believe I will finally get my chance to ride this awesome looking coaster
this ride was fun but we had to wait in line for about 2 hours and the belt things would always pinch your arms if you make a turn or a loop but damn it was still fun!!!
It would be an easy fix to modify the trains and the seats for higher G loads, but evidently Cedar Point/Cedar Fair chose to remove the heartline roll because the legal liability was too high.

I have been on it you have 2 ride it either in the very front or the very back for more airtime. Also you have to ride Millennium Force cuz I hate to say it but Millennium Force is like.00000000000000000000000001% More intense and I like intense but Maverick is still and always will be a must ride for any coaster enthusiast or thrill seeker

This is a really great tribute! You put so much work in getting lovely angles during and after construction. You clearly spent a lot of time around it, studying. This came out wonderfully.
I faint easily and I can only deal with this ride only if the park isn't too hot, the line isn't too long, and I go on it before wearing myself out riding other things. But it's so good I will take vacation days in the middle of the week and stay overnight to achieve that.
This was the most fun of all the rollercoasters at Cedar Point for me. 8.5 hour drive and worth every mile to get there too! Trying to get back to LA to go to there other park, Knott's Berry Farm, I'm sure it is equally excellent.
this ride is so misleading. haha its only 100 ft tall and doesn't look that intense... but it is definetly one of the best rides of the park. fast as hell, tight turns, amazing airtime hills, suprising flips, just an amazing ride.
It's an absolutely amazing ride experience. It is a coaster that's both fun to watch and to ride. The line doesn't seem so long, either. I can't choose between Maverick or Top Thrill for my favorite coaster at Cedar Point =D

this is an amazing ride, ive been to cedar point every year of my life, and i must say that this coaster ranks right up there with the dragster and the millenium force. Its a very smooth ride, without all the jerking and bumping its passengers around. too bad theres a height restriction or else this would be the ultimate family ride
My friend, when he saw this ride, said it was just your ordinary coaster, and a peace of shit compared to the raptor or any rides, but when I was riding it with him he was like "OH SHIT OH SHIT" the entire time.
It's very deceiving, and well worth a long wait.
It also has a very good ride length, it's a lot longer than you think.

You only had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes? we waited for 3 hours because a girl got hit in the head with a cell phone and had to go to the hospital because it was going about 60 mph.
Millennium Force, Dragster, and Maverick will have the longest waits. Also, I would avoid Raptor in the morning because EVERYBODY goes to this ride when the park opens. Go to Millennium or Maverick early, and I would definitely hit Dragster mid-late afternoon. A neat trick is to get in line for a ride with a longer line just before the park closes for the evening. Once you're in line, you'll ride. Nice to do on Millennium, Maverick, or Dragster so as not to have to waste time during the day.
Alphabetically: Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Corkscrew, Gemini, Iron Dragon, Magnum XL-200, Maverick, Millennium Force, Raptor, Top Thrill Dragster, and Wicked Twister.
Coasters that I would avoid at all costs: Disaster Transport & Mean Streak
Disaster Transport is a bobsled coaster in the dark. You can't see where you're going and sometimes, if the lights are working, there are some dumb scenes you go past. It's just a waste of time. Mean Streak, well, its tall, yes, but slow. Its just a boring ride. And it hurts. It really beats you up. It looks like a great coaster, but in reality, it should be knocked down.If you want to be greatly disappointed and feel cheated that you waited for these rides, then by all means ride them.
Millennium Force, Maverick, and Top Thrill Dragster are the 3 most popular ones and are must rides. Magnum, Gemini, Raptor, and Wicked Twister are amazing too. Blue Streak is a classic so it's a must ride. Corkscrew is more fun to watch than to ride. Mean Streak: AVOID. If it is hot out you might want to ride Disaster Transport because of the AC. Iron Dragon is coaster for kids and adults so not much of a thrill. Hope I helped
Iron Dragon still has one of the best first drops in the park, though. Sit in the back seat and you'll feel it. Also has one of the best elements of any coaster: The pretzel finale.

yeah i love maverick but i wish they took out mean streak and put white water landing in the mean steaks place i never got to ride it

this is an amazing ride, ive been to cedar point every year of my life, and i must say that this coaster ranks right up there with the dragster and the millenium force. Its a very smooth ride, without all the jerking and bumping its passengers around. too bad theres a height restriction or else this would be the ultimate family ride

The line moves fairly quickly, though, I think a full queue is about 1-1/2 to 2 hours long, depending on loading efficiency.

My friend, when he saw this ride, said it was just your ordinary coaster, and a peace of shit compared to the raptor or any rides, but when I was riding it with him he was like "OH SHIT OH SHIT" the entire time.
It's very deceiving, and well worth a long wait.
It also has a very good ride length, it's a lot longer than you think.

this roller coaster is prolly the best one i have ever rode, that hill just gets u so much cause its a 95 degree drop so it actually curves inwards some, its awsome

i would never wait more than 2 hours for a coaster.... just waists your time at the park. come back to it later and see the line again

i agree. but i only had an hour left inthe park and i never got to go on it. i want to the next time that i go there. but it looks insane and i want to go on it so badly! my fav are the millenium, dragster, raptor and the demon drop. on the drop, its fun to put i coin on your lap and it will rise as you fall. its alot of fun. i love cedar point.

i was in your same situation i only had 1 hour left in the park i could ride the corkscrew again or the maverick...........i choose maverick and im glad i did it was AMAZING but i almost shit myself at the 95 degree angle drop

You only had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes? we waited for 3 hours because a girl got hit in the head with a cell phone and had to go to the hospital because it was going about 60 mph.

Millennium Force, Dragster, and Maverick will have the longest waits. Also, I would avoid Raptor in the morning because EVERYBODY goes to this ride when the park opens. Go to Millennium or Maverick early, and I would definitely hit Dragster mid-late afternoon. A neat trick is to get in line for a ride with a longer line just before the park closes for the evening. Once you're in line, you'll ride. Nice to do on Millennium, Maverick, or Dragster so as not to have to waste time during the day.

Disaster Transport is a bobsled coaster in the dark. You can't see where you're going and sometimes, if the lights are working, there are some dumb scenes you go past. It's just a waste of time. Mean Streak, well, its tall, yes, but slow. Its just a boring ride. And it hurts. It really beats you up. It looks like a great coaster, but in reality, it should be knocked down.If you want to be greatly disappointed and feel cheated that you waited for these rides, then by all means ride them.

Disaster Transport is actually really fun. Especially if its hot outside, the a/c is really nice. Plus its unique, i say its a must ride.

Millennium Force, Maverick, and Top Thrill Dragster are the 3 most popular ones and are must rides. Magnum, Gemini, Raptor, and Wicked Twister are amazing too. Blue Streak is a classic so it's a must ride. Corkscrew is more fun to watch than to ride. Mean Streak: AVOID. If it is hot out you might want to ride Disaster Transport because of the AC. Iron Dragon is coaster for kids and adults so not much of a thrill. Hope I helped

Iron Dragon still has one of the best first drops in the park, though. Sit in the back seat and you'll feel it. Also has one of the best elements of any coaster: The pretzel finale.
