People just dont realize how heavy those cars were and they could still run like scolded dogs, Damn the fuel injected stingray the 413 were the Dads back then or Kings whichever you prefer but they ruled!!
I could swear that was my wife in the Sports Fury going to get McDonalds this morning! Classic '60's Mopar! The BEST Jerry! The BEST! (Only funny if you watch Seinfeld.)
@mobeers1 There's a reason the videos are as short as they are. These videos are teasers for our Mopar event DVD's. If you want to see more, you have to go to our website and order the DVD's!
Actually, I like "all" of the old iron. I have seven vehicles.........the oldest, a '60 Wyllis
Jeep Wagon.........the youngest, a '88 Chevy Sport Van. I loved to see the Super Stocks run in the old days. Funny Cars are fun for a while, but usually, one always
runs off and leaves the other. Great Posting! Can you imagine the future............
Fartpipe Plastic cars compeating with piarate software tweeks. (Kinda like NASCAR)
loved the constant action, not a boring moment. Love being at the starting line when I got to the races, has the most action. The explosion of accelerating from a dead stop, wheels up and the slicks planted. The exhaust pounding it's beat thru your body! The only thing better is a healthy whiff of nitro!! I thought you did a great job! Awsome cars and awsome launches!!!!
Thanks for checking out the video. This video is just a teaser for our Mopar event DVD's. We have a complete inventory of DVD's from Mopar events from all across the U.S. The DVD's show the complete staging launch and runs of the cars you see in this video. Yep, if ya wanna play, ya gotta pay! Check out our website for out complete inventory.
Jealousy will get you nowhere. Sounds to me like you're nothing more than a snot-nosed ricer punk with a stock Honda with a fart pipe. You've got a lot to learn about cars and even more to learn about respect. You're very typical of today's generation of worthless, clueless scum without a lick of common sense. Time to grow up and be a man, ya punk.
The reason it is boring is because I could jump in almost anyone of those cars and run within 2 tenths of what the owners drive them too. Pull to the line, hold the trans brake, release trans brake, steer. I dont have a honda.
Thanks for checking out the video! I really dig these cars too. Both our 2008 and 2009 Mopars At The Strip / Las Vegas Part 2 Drag Racing DVD's have a fair amount of footage of the Jesel War Fish.
Hey! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I've filmed a lot of nice wheelstands over the years but that one by the Asphalt Elephant was definitely the best! We're really looking forward to heading out west for this year's Mopars At The Strip. Are you going this year?
Thanks! I know just what you mean. I know people who just have to put music in with their car videos cuz they think it makes the videos "more artistic". I did that a couple times but screw that. Hearing these old Max Wedges do their thing is much better than some stale old music! Thanks for checking out this video!

Great vid! I saw that last race with the Asphault Elephant in person at the Mopars at the strip in Vegas last year.
Was definitely the most exciting race of the weekend, at least that I saw.
I was so pissed that my camera was on still pics, instead of video for that race, but I did get a great still of that wheelstand.
Thanks for this vid.
Brought back some great memories.
