How do you plan to apply it to your butterfly kick? The vertical on the BK is usually achieved by dipping your upper body and then throwing it upward in conjunction with the non pushing leg, which is why if you are good at it, you should be able to do the BK from standing. I am trying to imagine how one would use a block jump on this, and my imagination is mostly coming up with pictures twisted ankles. If you manage it, I would love to see it :).
well there is usually a hop that some people do to get some more momentum going into the dip. I was thinking, if I can get my legs further out then dip into it. I can do a block jump, sideways.
Yeah, I'll be recording my B-kicks. Although I can't do them just yet because of an Ankle injury. I'll post a video response when ever I achieve it.

Glad it helped.
Ahm... what's a "barrel roll"?
vace117 2 years ago
i think it's the thing the guy in the gray shirt does at the end. 8)

Ah, ok. It's just a side flip, although from that perspective it does look a bit strange :)

@vace117 nah, a barrel roll and a side flip are different. if you don't know what a barrel roll is search B-twist on youtube. that's a barrel roll

@vace117 A few things: Round offs are a form of blocking, and one footed tricks like b-twists and corks can be blocked for more height too.
