i bought the Griffin iFM Radio Receiver for iPhone and iPod.

It's actually a really good device, u just connect the headphone into it, and the receiver into ur ipod, and u dont need wifi, well unless you wanna change the channel

i like to use it to listen to Z100 in the morning! :D (you also have to download an app to receive it, but it wont work when ur outside)

Cool if you're in the house or have a citywide Wi-fi connection. However for many this isn't the case which is why people just want a simple fm/tuner in their iPods and iPod touches. Apple should simply release their own in house version that allows you to listen to music via- a radio that directly links you to itunes. If you like a song you could just immediately buy it. It's a win-win for apple. Giving the people what they want as well as generating impulse buys of itunes songs.

Actually, the touch DOES have a built-in FM tuner, it's built in to the WIFI or BlueTooth chip (or else apple would have removed it). They just disabled it. I think they do it so they have something new to add to the next gen units.

you make no sense kid. the ipod touch has no fm tuner and you can't embed a tuner in the wiFi or the bluetooth chip. the wifi is for internet and satelite radio for example sirius radio and the bluetooth is for wireless headphones/headset

The Touch have a Broadcom BCM4325 chip inside, it's Bluetooth, Wifi and FM-Radio.

The Bluetooth got enabled in Firmware update 3.0.

In other words, the iPod touch has Fm-Radio, just not enabled by Apple.

there actually is fm radio in a ipod touch 2g, the chip that the ipod has is a Broadcom BCM4325, a chip that supports wifi, bluetooth and FM radio bluetooth was just unlocked, we are not sure if apple will unlock the ipod touch 2g's FM radio capabilities.
