I liked Christian Bale in this film but I did not like the story line of the movie. It didn't make sense to me. When asked about the new knot, why didn't Borden tell Angier that he tied the standard knot?

Julia (Angier's wife) is dead, why rub it in by saying that he doesn't remember what knot he tied? Even if the twin was the one who performed the day Julia died.

And the twins were such jerks to each other's women. Did Borden have to tell Olivia that he didn't love her?
