I love this guy..."as you can see, i got my beers..." lol. Thats pure funny shit, you cant make it up. Consequently, i have a CPC6128 with a colour monitor that works, my disk drive however, has packed up. Having to plug in a tape deck nowdays. Great vid, 5 stars!
Classic computer (I owned a CPC464 with colour TV modulator back in 1987, plus a mate had one in 1984), great SCART mod........but play the damn game will you! :-D Oh and drink in moderation, your body will thank you for it and look younger!
Interesting. I'd never thought about the possibility of using SCART with an Amstrad. I guess I assumed the signalling was too radically different to be compatible.
The monitor off my 464+ is still working fine, but I'll have to remember this if it ever goes on the fritz.
Well done mate, was my first computer, I used to love "oh mummy!" got a pc version now =] would be easy to make a plug using a correct pin DIN lead and scart im sure it just uses RED GREEN BLUE signal and SYNC for scart, also signal ground. great vid mate, kudos to you
That's great Paul well done! Are you able to tell me where those diagrams are on the internet? Also, I've come across scart leads that simply plug straight into the connector in the past. Do you know if they work just as well?
Excellent video, I recently bought two amstrads at a car boot for £1.50 (see youtube video Car Boot Sale) but got no monitors, so I think i'll be able to get them working now :)
Notice all the background music, they are all c64, amstrad cpc and spectrum tunes, you get a virtual medal if you can name every single song and the machine it was on! Its more difficult than you might think...
I know a couple of tunes you used. The only AY tune I know is Glider Rider, but I'm more experienced with SID tunes, of which I noticed two titles: Ocean Loader 3 by Peter Clark (the best C64 loader tune IMO) and some tunes from Midnight Resistance (awesome game, you should review it sometime).
C64 loading music why?

You can buy, all in one scart and power adapters off ebay for the cpc.
Its great to see people still loving their amstrads.
Thankfully my CTM 640 monitor still works.

Ive got plans to mod my Amstrad, Spectrum, C64 and Sega to have a scart socket on the casing of the computer. So I can use regular scart leads.

Do you know if it's possible to do the same mod with composite or S-Video leads?

Great video - nice to see it actually worked. One wrong move and you might have ended up with a static-zapped hunk of silicon ;)

just look for an ay player (i recommend microspeccy) and a sid player and download ay and sid files respectively.
