Ever notice how all those evil crazy fucks in the world are always religious nuts? It's always the case. They're always the bad guys, twisted, perverted and evil. Completely antithetical to what they should represent. If jesus was real he'd hang his head-on shame.

@Domzdream Point one, your assuming that only religious nuts are always and only claiming Christianity. Point two your assuming that just because someone claims the title or label as such religion , that makes them comparable to those that follow the tenets of said religion. Point three, your seemingly forgetting about tyrants, killers, bad guys throughout time who ascribed to no religion whatsoever.

Haha. I knew that after scrolling down I'd notice people reaching effervescence of religious discussion. And rightly so. Also, I am proud to see more and more people with open, rational healthy minds. Religion is an old way of thought. It has to go.

You just havn't labeled your own 'religion' yet. What is odd to one person , isn't to another. Thinking that your own way is the right way and the other has to go ... that would be an example of what 'has to go'.

By the way, people generally dont kill in the name of an absence in belife. Because that would be dumb. You dont get atheists shouting 'I kill in the name of nothing'.

But you do get muzzies and christies chanting death to all kinds of things. Including towards gays. It's not very jesus-esque, you'd agree.

Atheists are the healthy brained, rational thinkers which the world should support, not reject.

Correct, most people don't kill in the name of 'absence' but the 'belief' that most people do and have killed for can include political belief, religious belief, and so on. Stalin killed in the name of 'the state' or the party or whatever. Does political genocide in Laos, Cambodia, and other places somehow get a pass because there is no religion involved? Human kind kills, period. Most of the time excuses are fabricated and labeled by those or other to mask intentions.

I'll accept that. They kill in the name of politics. However, christianity/islam have always been intrinsic in politics. In america, it's impossible to get ANY political position. Even if you believe in magical trees, But if you have nothign but reason on your side IE atheist, then you're fucked. Career over.

Repubicans love war. Evidence is there. Repubicans are christian predominantly.

@Domzdream The fact is that most of the earth's population confide to a belief that there is a creator rather than swirling dust responsible for the earth as we see it. In a democracy it's not surprising that populations desire to see like minded people in their government. A regions constituency tells it all ... I have little doubt that an atheist could easily get elected in various parts of San Francisco.

@Domzdream Republicans love war you say? A quick glance at the majority of our wars in the 20th century will tell a different tale. Both world wars and Korea and initial involvement in Nam were directed by Dem prez's ... the recent minor undeclared conflicts are primarily Pub .. .but I think the weight of war is at worst sided to Dem's and at best even divided between both worthless parties. The truth is they both wail and rant about the same things only reversing positions every few years.

@Domzdream Republicans traditionally in the past few decades has carried the CHRISTian banner in politics, it's just a label and one used by a party to scrub up votes .. just like the Dem's do with the black vote, green vote and so on. They both rant and rave but Washington has a way of just being a big circle of nothingness.

@Domzdream Your value and voiced belief of 'healthy brained, rational thinkers' is as thin as your bias toward religion or any organized thought likely to differ from what YOU think is rational or healthy. You commit the same ideological doctrinal caging of free thought as your jaded version of religious people. Atheism is just another 'religion' with it's own set of beliefs and thoughts. I support any 'healthy brained, rational thinker' ... no matter what they might believe about God.

Or lack there of in this context. An absence of belief, which is a belief in itself I suppose.
