yeah i know a thing or two. it all starts here in Sumer Mesopotamia where Iraq is today. The sumerian gods came from the stars so most of the worship was based on the stars. there were sun gods and moon goddesses. there were gods based on planets like the god Ninurta which translates as Saturn. At 0:45, Conan's grandfather gave up what would have saved him from being turned to stone. The ambulent at the center of that necklace has the ability to protect whoever wears from the spell of living stone. Wrathamon later tries to turn Conan to stone, but it doesn't work because of the necklace.

While I like anime as well, I prefer Conan over the anime's they make these days, like Naruto and Bleach. Now DBZ, Saint Seiya, Kenshin ,etc. Those are good examples of where Japanese animation is better. But today they don't make better cartoons in Japan than they do here...

@Aracnicon I was 5 years old when watching He-Man in the early 1980s and liked it, but when the Conan cartoon came out in 1992, I just liked it more. Conan the Adventurer just had more of an adventurous feel to it compared to He-Man. But to each his own. :)

When you have memories of being a kid by watching cartoons from that era, it makes you feel child like again, with adventure and wonder and excitement.
