first time I have heard Inca with no vocals....there is a fantastic show from Armadillo Texas 10/3/73 that is so completely different its amazing.....Inca has vocals....Montana is faster....same 4 songs to end show....but just a LOT different speed and intensity....its like in 7 short months these songs evolved 10x
In the random coincidence department, Jean Luc Ponty is currently touring with Return to Forever; they share the stage with Dweezil & band playing daddy Frank's music. Dweez was only 4 years old when Jean Luc recorded these classic Zappa tunes with Frank & Co. It's almost like a 40 year deja vu of sorts. Life can be very strange, but also wonderful.
What a fantastic post! I began collecting FZ with devotion when I heard "Overnite Sensation" just about this time. I didn't see this superb ensemble on stage but did manage to buy a live bootleg of their 1973 Stockholm set. This is better. You are the man.
I was there that night and have sice heard the entire concert . it was probably on of zappas best lineups.
