I'm 12 and when I told my parents that I was bi and my mum just laughed and told me it was a phase, I guess she was right cos 3 months after I told her I actually realised that I was a lesbian, I haven't told them yet..... :P
Dang...some people really know how to take the words out of my mouth! I'm definitely quoting this chick next time a strait person thinks they can get smart with me.

@Adelaide471 I'm almost 17 year old and bisexual. I've questioned my sexual identity every day for years. When I'm in a relationship with a girl, I stay faithful to her. When I'm in a relationship with a guy, I will also love him as much as I can. I'd love to be a lesbian or a straight girl, but I'm not. And it doesn't help when people judge you like that, gay OR straight. I've only have had relationships that lasted longer then three months and I definitely don't kiss random girls at parties XD
@Adelaide471 it makes me sad when people say this, there are lots of things that make a good boyfriend/girlfriend and sexual orientation isn't one of them. I am sorry you haven't met a bisexual who is a really great person yet, but don't let your experiences cause you to have negative feelings toward all bisexuals.
I learned I liked girls at age seven. I didn't accept it until I was twelve and then I realized that I also liked boys. I wasn't curious and in fact, I hated myself. I still don't accept myself, but I know my dad does even though I haven't told him. My mom I'm not sure of, though...

Thanks so much for making this video I'm BI I think I've known I am for a long while... In a way I kinda hate it cause I feel like a freak who can't make up their mind... I'm fourteen and I've questioned "is it a phase?" because sometimes I wonder.. this sounds strange but I suppose it depends on the day which gender I like more. Sometimes I'm scared I'll turn fully gay or fully straight because no matter how much I hate being in the middle... I also love it.
I haven't told my parents as I know they'll say it is a phase.
I'm bisexual, and I've only ever had a relationship with one boy, and one girl. I'm still with my beautiful girlfriend today and I know that I can love men and women. I fall in love with a person, not their gender.
I'm 15, and can assure you this is not a phase. Thanks for this video, it helped :)
Thank you for addressing the fact that young girls or girls going through a phase make a bad name for bisexuals. I am bisexual, and I know I've liked girls since 1st grade. I dont like it when people say, "It's a phase," because it's not. i like women. I'm honestly not sure if I am bisexual or lesbian. My parents told me they are ashamed of me for liking girls, and it bothers me because I can't help it. I've always liked girls.

Thank you for making these videos it's nice to have some positive discussion about homosexuality and bisexuality. I've been really lost lately because I've always thought I was straight but lately I've found that I am attracted to girls and people just don't get it. The thing that bugs me is that people make such a big deal about it. The heart wants what the heart wants. Get over it lol.
A friend of mine who i am friendly with, he's a guy, he doesn't seem to like the fact that i like girls, he has even reduced the amount of time he talks to me. I'm not too bothered, i don't know him all that well, but it kind of annoys me when people are told that they are too pretty/cute/handsome/attractive to be gay. I almost feel like that is what he is getting at, sometimes.
I'm so glad you addressed the fact that bisexuals do exist. I mostly like girls but I also will occasionally find a guy I really like too and I know I'm not faking and it's not a phase. I'm 16 and I've never even had my first kiss so it's not like I just do it to impress people or something like drunk girls do at parties. when I actually find a girl who likes girls she's usually mad that I consider myself bi. sometimes I wish I was either straight or gay it would be so much easier.
I have known that I am gay or bisexual (not sure which yet) since I was twelve, and I came out to my parents at fourteen. They literally laughed at me and said nobody can figure that out at my age. I want to know, at what age do most people figure it out/come out? Am I really too young at fifteen?
@bluetooth333123 actually, there are signs of homosexuality among children younger than 12, I'm 22 now but I remember back in the 4th grade there were three boys in my class who were VERY feminine, like very very very feminine. All three of those boys are gay men now and one of them participates in drag shows, so no 15 is NOT too young to know XD
Lol Idk what I am.. I'm super confused haha almost everyone at my school has gone bisexual it's annoying so yeah :P like this 1 chick waz lyk oh I've been bisexual 4 like 1 yr now it's so annoying she only became it becuz she thinks it will make her popular cuz a lot of the "cool kids" are doing it ?? Haha I think I'm bisexual or a lesbian I'm not 100% sure yet I do like girls tho lmao ;)
THANK YOU omg i am bi and my parents keep saying its just a phase i was kinda wondering why it bothered me soooo much and im just glad to see im not the only one
I think your amazing and hot but I still don't know bout the bisexual thing....in lesbian and I have dated 2 bisexual girls and both of them have cheated on me multiple times just with guys....idk if bisexuality is real...but i dont think i will be dating any more bi girls
@mcriserickas Bisexuality IS real. Honestly, I think you just had shitty girlfriends. But some are attracted to both sexes. The problem with your two girlfriends was probably that she couldn't settle for one gender at a time or she was just very untrue and generally not a good person. All I'm saying is that some people give bisexuals a bad name and you shouldn't judge all people by labels.
You brought up soooo many good points. I'm bi and my best guy friend when I told him was like "no your not your waaayy to pretty" needless to say I slapped him
I think you're too pretty to be straight. ;D hahahaha
You're too awesome. We need more people like you. and I agree with you that the term "It's just a phase" is really irking. How can they tell me who I will like?
I love this video it is sooo true! and i love your response to those who are ignorant to the lesbian phase. I've had family tell me I'm too pretty to be gay and i need a man in my life. It's pretty sad really.
Thank you for posting this! I am a bisexual...like, a true bisexual, was in a relationship with a girl for 2 years, she left me a year ago, and I'm now in a relationship with a boy that I like...and yes, being bisexual is a real thing. Thank you, you're awesome :]
thank you! you helped me find my voice to tell my parents that it's NOT just a phase. theyre now starting to accept me, and the fact that im lesbian. (but they think im bisexual... so im going to just let them think that)
"you're too pretty to be gay," that's what my mom says. i'm very low with.. masculine level and nonetheless have always acted more like a guy. she blames me being gay on this. now she's giving me fashion magazines and keeps wanting to do my makeup probably thinking a mascara wand will turn me straight. i'm so glad you point out that there are feminine lesbians and that people can be pretty and gay.
I finally told my mom I was bisexual last year and that's exactly wat she told me that I was going through a phase and I was too young to know wat I liked or wanted and that I was to fem to even like girls. I'm my defense I told her that I could know war I wanted at 14 (now 15) cuz I finally had accepted myself wen I was 11 n I started to get those feelings for girls wen I was in 4th grade. But since that year I had seen "boys don't cry" I was super afraid of coming with terms that I was attrac
PLEASE!! Don't judge me when I say this, but how is it possible for a women in her late 30s with 2 girls and she is happily married to a man.. Get a divorce and become gay??? I've always wondered how someone who is straight become gay..
@SuperFlowerChick Well I just don't believe in the whole ''becoming gay'' -thing, but I do think that for some ppl it just takes more time to ''come out''. Some people spend all their life hiding the truth from everyone, even 'emselves. So maybe she just got the courage to accept the fact that she is gay, and probably has always been. Don't know. That's just what I think about that. It's not a decision, it's just something you are.
@SuperFlowerChick You don't "become" gay. Sometimes, though, it's easier to deny it, or to simply go along with what society expects because that's easier. And some people genuinely think they are straight for years and years. There have been plenty of cases, I'm sure, of people who got married and had kids, only to realize, well into adulthood, that they are, in fact, gay. Usually, such a marriage fails eventually, and usually the latent homosexuality plays a roll in causing that divorce.
Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for saying pansexuality and not claiming it to be just a group of bisexuals who want to seem different. I'm 14 and know like 4 kids who are all coming out as bisexual. Meanwhile, I've been struggling with being pansexual for 6 years and still have not come out. With some of them (minus 2 maybe), I think it could be just a phase, but I would never tell them that, just let them figure it out on their own.
seriousely, once, I picked up enough courage to just tell my mom, face to face, " mom, I think I'm a lesbian..." Of course there was this major story beforehand and everything, and I was devastated and it really, reallyreally troubled me.
And she was silent for a few seconds, then she squinted her eyes and said
"Honey, don't worry, it'll go away, it;s only a phase..!"
Also girls at school have been saying to me "Oh i'm totally bi. But i just like boys more". It pisses me off to hear that because i feel like everyone who is ACTUALLY bi will feel obliged to like one gender more than another. I like both genders equally. Is this normal? X
My dad said that when I showed him a celebrity that I am basically in love with because she was apparantly TOO PRETTY to be a lesbian as well! ugh And I hate the whole "it's a phase" thing. It's upsetting how many straight people think homosexuals are that different from them.
I COMPLETELY empethize with Sarah. I'm pretty sure I'm gay, but Ive not yet tested if, seeing as how I'm 14 and live in the bible belt. Around here if you aren't a modest baptist that listens to country music, you're weird. Well I'm lesbian, and I can guarantee you it isn't a phase. Male anatomy and really everything about males scares the crackers out of me. This video is PERFECT! I love you Jenna!! (sorry I just talked about like 5 random things, I'm a little bit ADHD.)
@brooktini9131 ITS THE SAME THING FOR ME!!!! Every time a guy tries to talk to me I'm thinking "oh my god why are you talking to me leave me alone IM GAY!!!!!" I wish I had a shirt that said that! And I'm 14 too!!!!! Go us awesome jr high lezzyz!!! *high five*
Anyhoo so what if the sitiation is that I'm like 80% sure that I think I'm gay but I actually don't know cuz I have never had anything happen between me and a guy or a girl.. No kissing nothing.. But I do like a girl .. And I can see myself with a girl.. But sometimes I kinda think that it's because I'm scarred from being around total douchebag idiot boys my whole life .. Idk =P
@saaaaarah1234 You don't need experience to know your sexuality, although it may help you find the answer. I've never had a boyfriend or girlfriend, but over time, I eventually came to the conclusion that I'm a lesbian. I started to realize I might be bi when I was about 12 or 13 and since then, I had silently fluxuated between bi and lesbian in my head. Now, at 16, I am definite. But I know some people in their 20s who are STILL figuring things out. You'll know sooner or later :)
I thought I was bi until I realised I hadnt slept with a guy for 7 odd years (and I did have opportunities) and actually I didn't even want to. I then realised I was a lesbian. :) I think for me being bi was my way of easing into being a lesbian.
This. This is perfect. I've always known I was bisexual, but I was in denial and it was so hard for me to finally accept it. Now I have, and have the most wonderful girlfriend I could ever ask for. Everyone keeps telling me this ("it's a phase"), and I know it isn't. It pisses me off when they constantly berate me for it.
I wasBisexual last year & I told my friend who I knew when I was two years old. & She told her friends who I knew & They flipped & thought it was "nasty" cause I like boys/girls. & I just didn't get why she thought it was nasty. it's life. Plus she thought I lied boys & not girls/boys. I guess she thought I was to "pretty" to be bisexual.
Well for me, I am 14. I could be wrong but I do think I'm bisexual. Because I've just always been attracted to girls. Physically, emotionally. It's just who I am. The reason I say I'm bisexual and not full on lesbian is because I am attracted to guys, I would like.. (I won't say that.) But I do like females too. That's just me.
i think its hard to be taken seriously as bisexual because its often harder for girls to meet girls so they tend to stay more on the "guy side", but i know ive always been bi and i accept that as a part of me no matter what gender i end up with even if i feel its more likely that it will be a boy, u cant change who u r(:
I'm a girl, straight, and I love watching your videos. Why? Because I totally support gay rights and I can't stand how many people are so RUDE/homophobic.
i think sometimes people arent trying to offende you by saying youre too pretty to be gay....they could just be hoping that it is a phase because they think you are so attractive. yeah it sucks for them they it is not a phase, but their intention could be a good one
also, so what if it's a phase? it's what I'm going through right now, deal with it. there's nothing wrong with going through a phase and wanting people to understand/support it.
Just recently (and after I watched the former video of this question) me and my family went on a trip, we were eating breakfast at some place and I don´t know why the topic of homosexualy came up, I haven´t come out to my family, so here I was deffending my peer and myself, when my dad said "los gays no estan definidos" for those of you who don´t get what it means he said they weren´t defined as if it was only a phase, let me tell you after that, the breakfast was more quite and tense
But what about the people who genuinly are experimenting? A lot of people, for various reasons, have trouble coming to that ultimate conclusion. Someone just wanting to see what it's like being with the same sex, deciding it's not for them, and moving on doesn't make them wrong. It just means that they are really straight after all.
I'm bisexual, for real, and I hate dealing with the "It's just a phase" crap.
I would like to have a relationship with a guy or girl. A relationship, not drunken hook up.
Please, please talk about the people who try to tell you that you aren't bisexual just because you have a boyfriend. Hello, girls AND boys. I would still date my boyfriend if he was a girl. It makes no difference. I like them EQUALLY.
Quick Q hun though, when was younger & finding myself, felt was bisexual & did end up as just a phase until became fully fledged lesbian. But last year dated a guy, before get whacked in the face with the 'you can't be a lesbian if you dated a guy' stick, i'd wanna wager in pansexuality, dated because liked the person rather than the interest in gender & i've no interest in men but would re-date him again. Is that a phase, misinterpreted bisexuality, pansexuality, or me being a hypocrit?
Kristen Stewart I hope you were watching this! ahahahah

Get over it lol.
kittin9508 7 months ago
A friend of mine who i am friendly with, he's a guy, he doesn't seem to like the fact that i like girls, he has even reduced the amount of time he talks to me. I'm not too bothered, i don't know him all that well, but it kind of annoys me when people are told that they are too pretty/cute/handsome/attractive to be gay. I almost feel like that is what he is getting at, sometimes.
lovethelawliet 7 months ago

Am I really too young at fifteen?
bluetooth333123 8 months ago
@bluetooth333123 actually, there are signs of homosexuality among children younger than 12, I'm 22 now but I remember back in the 4th grade there were three boys in my class who were VERY feminine, like very very very feminine. All three of those boys are gay men now and one of them participates in drag shows, so no 15 is NOT too young to know XD

I think your amazing and hot but I still don't know bout the bisexual thing....in lesbian and I have dated 2 bisexual girls and both of them have cheated on me multiple times just with guys....idk if bisexuality is real...but i dont think i will be dating any more bi girls
mcriserickas 9 months ago
@mcriserickas Bisexuality IS real. Honestly, I think you just had shitty girlfriends. But some are attracted to both sexes. The problem with your two girlfriends was probably that she couldn't settle for one gender at a time or she was just very untrue and generally not a good person. All I'm saying is that some people give bisexuals a bad name and you shouldn't judge all people by labels.

PLEASE!! Don't judge me when I say this, but how is it possible for a women in her late 30s with 2 girls and she is happily married to a man.. Get a divorce and become gay??? I've always wondered how someone who is straight become gay..
SuperFlowerChick 10 months ago
@SuperFlowerChick Well I just don't believe in the whole ''becoming gay'' -thing, but I do think that for some ppl it just takes more time to ''come out''. Some people spend all their life hiding the truth from everyone, even 'emselves. So maybe she just got the courage to accept the fact that she is gay, and probably has always been. Don't know. That's just what I think about that. It's not a decision, it's just something you are.
xlauraisonfire 10 months ago
@SuperFlowerChick You don't "become" gay. Sometimes, though, it's easier to deny it, or to simply go along with what society expects because that's easier. And some people genuinely think they are straight for years and years. There have been plenty of cases, I'm sure, of people who got married and had kids, only to realize, well into adulthood, that they are, in fact, gay. Usually, such a marriage fails eventually, and usually the latent homosexuality plays a roll in causing that divorce.

csifriendsscrubsfan 10 months ago
Lovegoddess999 10 months ago
seriousely, once, I picked up enough courage to just tell my mom, face to face, " mom, I think I'm a lesbian..." Of course there was this major story beforehand and everything, and I was devastated and it really, reallyreally troubled me.
And she was silent for a few seconds, then she squinted her eyes and said
"Honey, don't worry, it'll go away, it;s only a phase..!"
That was SO the wrong time to say that...
NeniioN 11 months ago
I told my Mum that i think i am bisexual,
Guess what she said "Don't worry, It's a Phase"
I'm too nervous to bring it up again though.
Also girls at school have been saying to me "Oh i'm totally bi. But i just like boys more". It pisses me off to hear that because i feel like everyone who is ACTUALLY bi will feel obliged to like one gender more than another. I like both genders equally. Is this normal? X

"You're too pretty to be gay"
My dad said that when I showed him a celebrity that I am basically in love with because she was apparantly TOO PRETTY to be a lesbian as well! ugh And I hate the whole "it's a phase" thing. It's upsetting how many straight people think homosexuals are that different from them.
TBSxDRUMS 11 months ago
I COMPLETELY empethize with Sarah. I'm pretty sure I'm gay, but Ive not yet tested if, seeing as how I'm 14 and live in the bible belt. Around here if you aren't a modest baptist that listens to country music, you're weird. Well I'm lesbian, and I can guarantee you it isn't a phase. Male anatomy and really everything about males scares the crackers out of me. This video is PERFECT! I love you Jenna!! (sorry I just talked about like 5 random things, I'm a little bit ADHD.)

saaaaarah1234 11 months ago 3
@saaaaarah1234 You don't need experience to know your sexuality, although it may help you find the answer. I've never had a boyfriend or girlfriend, but over time, I eventually came to the conclusion that I'm a lesbian. I started to realize I might be bi when I was about 12 or 13 and since then, I had silently fluxuated between bi and lesbian in my head. Now, at 16, I am definite. But I know some people in their 20s who are STILL figuring things out. You'll know sooner or later :)
