Be quiet. your comment should not even have so many likes. He had run away, thus he could not protect when he should have. So he kills Sweeney after to get revenge. Had he actually stayed in the room when they went looking for him I personally think Mrs. Lovett would have fought between the two in order to keep Toby safe and calm down Sweeney, while Toby would look for the chance to kill him. As he did in the end.

when the kid killed sweeney at the end it was all weak and slow and uhhh just looked crappy. it would have been MUCH more fufilling if he grabbed sweeney by the hair hard didnt say anything then he visciously(i do mean visciously not the wimp slide across his neck slice like in the movie)ran the blade back and forth just twice. that would show that the kid has really picked up an essence from todd that he turned gruesome and to just plain get a little revenge.
