DICK CHENEY: "one new power plant per week every week for the next 20 years" GEORGE BUSH: "America will need between 1,300 and 1,900 new power plants over the next two decades" Meanwhile they don't want a real energy policy that conserves - better gas mileage, more efficient vehicles (electric, hybrids), insulation, more efficient AC units, alternative energy etc...
If we conserve, that means people will spend less on energy. The politicians don't like this because this will lower consumer spending and thus lower the GDP. The politicians want unlimited economic growth in a world of limited resources, and this is impossible to sustain. The rich energy mogols don't want to see consumption of energy drop, and they've been writing our energy policy.
There is no energy crisis.
There is just a system of illusion, fraud, lies, propaganda, blackmail, censorship, ignorance, greed,...
Every home could heat with geothermia and generate electric energy with solar power, biogas, hemp and whatnot.
The demand for energy could go down 90% just with efficiency and simple saving methods.
Not everyone on this planet is taking part in the destruction craze that we are living in.
Laptops can replace desktops, LEDs can replace light bulbs...

Exactly! This is because power production, a measure of growth, is a leading indicator to the economy.

Each gallon of gas has about 35 kWh of energy. An EV goes up to 6 miles on each kWh of electric power.
