  • Yeha, its pretty standard!

  • Why do the Danes and the Dutch still cycle in these conditions? Because of the separate bicycle lanes. SHOULD you fall, then there is still little chance of being run over by a car. So this is the solution: get proper bike infrastructure! I couldn't help noticing thought, that the poster multiplied the figures by a factor 10, probably Danish pride of their achievements??? ;-)

  • No car's going faster than bicycle.

No wonder why people use bicycles instead.

  • @allgoo19 Nøj, Hvor er du dog dum. Ofcourse the cars is not travelling faster, cause the roads may be slippery! Here in Denmark, we are very cautious.

  • @Popeye23102011 "Wow, how did you manage to fool.."

Funny, else where in the world, bicycles are more affected by the slippery road than cars.

It must be different kind of ice then?

  • @allgoo19 Because only in Denmark, we have special tires for our bikes. We can go anywhere we like, Snowstorm..? Yes just like a walk in the park!

  • @allgoo19 Plus it's healthier, cheaper, more mobile and as you said - faster in traffic.

  • @RoederGaming " as you said - faster in traffic."

In the area I live, cars are still faster. But occasionally they get stuck in a jam. When that happens, I ride my bicycle passing by the cars looking at each driver and smile at them.

    I love it. ^_^

  • Thanks Big Time for the Upload.

    God Bless and Dress Warm.

??. Hvorfor tæller man det?

  • negative 3 degrees Celsius is nothing, visit Canada

  • @333tanx In parts of Canada, yes. But certainly not all, like parts of BC for instance. The weather may be colder in Canada, to the point that in such conditions even many Danes MAY not ride. But winter snow storms aren't the only discomforts to cycling. It's overcast all the time, rains very frequently and there are headwinds much of the year. Weather is certainly important, but is not the only factor. Otherwise, how would one explain the very low cycling rates in places like San Diego?

  • @tetrabee Its all about culture. Because of the ridiculous American Car Culture, in all but a few metro areas in the US you're committing social suicide if you're seen on a bike, on foot, or in anything but your own nice shiny car. In Denmark its just the opposite apparently, its ok or even cool to be seen biking. Any culture that stigmatizes something as healthy and beneficial as biking is complete bullshit...what a bunch of jackasses Americans are...

  • snowstorm w/o (falling) snow...:-)
