But to my knowledge, Japan still hasn't formally apologized to its former colonies (e.g., Korea) and instead continues teaching the Japanese some distorted versions of history. They just did like that, basically invading China and killing more people than how many people were killed from those bombs dropped onto Japan. (The Soviet already transfered their military forces near the North Korea area.) This could have avoided killing the civilians. There was no need to drop the atomic bombs. The Allies would have still defeated Japan without the measure of dropping the atomic bombs.

But to my knowledge, Japan still hasn't formally apologized to its former colonies (e.g., Korea) and instead continues teaching the Japanese some distorted versions of history. For instance, they teach the Japanese that they were not invaders but protectors of Asia, keeping the West off. This is unacceptable. But so is the U.S.'s killing Japanese civilians.

Japanese soldiers and the Nanking citizens in the picture wearing armbands of the flag of Japan and giving cheers, on the day of the Japanese militarys ceremonial entry into Nanking ("Sino-Japanese War Photograph News #15," the Mainichi Shinbun newspaper, published on Jan. 11, 1938)

@KotaRinShoon One of the foundations of the massacre myth is based on the book which is called "What War Means", edited by Harold Timperley. But he was an advisor to the Chinese Nationalist governments Ministry of Information. The section was propaganda section which was established by KMT (Kuomintang, Chiang Kai-shek) in China during the War. Timperley was paid by the propaganda section for editing the book.
