  • Gret one man!! Can u do the let it be solo ??

  • thanks man really it so really HELP ME thank u very muccchhhh

  • dude thanks for the tutorial, it was great but for corrections

the 3rd part of the intro. which is the same as the second part. the first tab in the 3rd part is (4) 11 not (3) 11

  • it is good i get it

  • thnx i always wanted to play this song but was told it was too hard coz ive only been learning two months

  • @Capturedcub66 Yeah, I was trying to keep my other fingers from obstructing the view

  • massive thanks dude this has help me alot only been playing for a few mouths but this is the one song that i really wonted to learn and this is has help me alot just need to try and speed it up now thanks dude

  • @cheekalover No problem :) Glad to beof help.

  • @cheekalover . I'm 58 years old, thank's to you I 'm playing some G&R

  • man you guys all need to relax, you guys are sitting here acting like you know what the hell your talking about, and if you did you would be searching how to play this song on youtube. leave the guy alone he's trying to help people he doesn't need your bs.

  • THX BRO!! :))

  • This is by far the best guide!!!

  • Nice vid but the strings start from bottom not TOP.

  • good video !

  • thank you broo....

  • Thankz Dat Rely Helpz

  • i have a peavy backstage 2 pack and i cant make my guitar sound like that someone plzz help me

  • ya dude, slash always plays in drop d tuning to make his shredding even more bad ass

  • you're a good guitarist thanks to you I learned the end of intro

  • dude if you are going to teach a song the least you could do is play the actual strings...

  • wow, i am only a beginner but everyone thinx im a pro just cus i mastered sweet child o mine off your amazing vid. How's about welcome to the jungle now? cheers!

  • hey dude you mixed up the strings the littlest one is the 1st string, the next smallest is the 2nd string, the one above that is the 3rd string, and the one above that is the 4th string, then above that you have the 5th string, and finally the biggest string, the 6th string

  • hey coooooooool!

  • So what's the point in tuning down a half step when you can just play it a fret lower and it sounds the same? Seems like a waste of time to me

  • The point is this: How the hell would you play all the chords in the song without tuning down? (You could probably do it, but the notes would be in so awkward positions that you'll break you fingers trying to reach them.)

  • Oh yeah. Didn't quite think that through, but you can still play the licks and solos the same I guess.

  • Its easier if you just lay your finger your nummber 1 finger or index on the 11 fret or 12

  • fuck dude you're so great thanks... good job dude!!!

  • 17,777 =D

  • laggy camera =(

  • that saounds like a piano or keyboard

  • I can assure you, it's a guitar...

  • @497orless It's because he put his amplifier on to a very clean mode, if not the actual clean mode lol

  • haha

  • That's only wrong because he plays it not in the scale it's supposed to be in.

  • is your guitar standard tuned?

  • Yeah, I have my guitar in standard tuning, but i'm PLAYING it where it would be played in Eb tuning, that's why it is in the wrong key.

  • slash plays drop d tunning and if u makea vid make it right make another 1 in drop d plz

  • What?! Where the hell did you hear that? And anyways, even if it was in drop d [It really, REALLY isn't] It would make no difference to the video because Drop D only effects the bottom [thickest] string, which isn't even used in the intro. Where the hell did you hear it was in Drop D?

  • @stephen45670 actually he means Db its drop D but the rest of the strings are tuned half step down

  • @stephen45670 stephen .. its drop to D sharp .. try tuning ur 6E string to D sharp .. many GNR song using D sharp tuning :D

  • @korankorin GNR PLAYS IN Eflat!!!!!!

  • @gnr4ever90 Eflat and dsharp is the same .. zzzzz

  • @korankorin yes it is but many people know it better as e flat and the it can really confuse people when you said to tune down the e string when actually all the strings are tuned down a semi tone

  • @alumbaugh1996 Where the fuck did u get it being in drop d? LOLOLOL

  • @alumbaugh1996 lmfao drop d? uh no.

  • what is it tuned to is is just e a d g b e

  • yeah hes played it one fret down to feel like Eb just the same as detuning to Eb easier way to tune down just capo the first fret tune to normal and remove capo thus Eb. most would no that and, its better than tunning by ear. just a hint for users that dont know.

  • Where's the overdrive?????????

  • It'n in my other room and I was to lazy to set it up, and it's easier to hear and therefore learn when it is done cleanly.

  • You don't start on the 11th fret, you have to start on the 12th fret. Anyways, good playing!

  • yes, but if you are in E tuning (like i am) you play everything one fret lower to make it sound the same as Eb tuning (which the song is played)

  • lol i start on the 10th fret... LOL

  • Fair enough then lol...

  • thats wrong the first part i had to teach myself cause yuou did it wrong

  • "thats wrong the first part i had to teach myself cause yuou did it wrong "

Please, enlighten me, how do you play it?

  • its all wrong no offense it is really 12th fret on the d string then 15th fret on the b string then 14 on the g and 12 on the g. then it is the 15 on the e then 14 on the d then 14 on e then 14 on d.

  • "its all wrong no offense it is really 12th fret on the d string then 15th fret on the b string then 14 on the g and 12 on the g. then it is the 15 on the e then 14 on the d then 14 on e then 14 on d."

Please read past comment and watch the WHOLE video, i am not in Eb tuning so i just moved everything up one fret so it sounded the same!

  • great job my fav song thanks

  • you know that the thickest E string is the sixth string rite? you had everything upside down.........

  • yeah... crap my bad, sorry folks XD

  • ehhh u start on the 12 fret but eh as mean0machine0 said slash tunes his guitar diff for this song so ehh ur pretty close :D other wise ur fingering is right so goood job

  • Thanks! I know that slash tunes his guitar differently so it would sound off on the video, but i do note how to play it to the record (move frets) in the video, 2:47 - 2:54.

    Thanks anyway! XD

  • Thanks man, very good video, it help me a lot!

    5/5 :D

  • Glad to have helped :D

  • not the best band but there are pretty damn good

  • good good good

  • dude thanks soo much that last part no1 puts in vids!!!!!!! ty ty ty

    5/5 subbed!!

  • its actually 1 fret higher on all the notes but slash has his guitar tuned a half a step down so its the same notes anyway

  • Yeah, it says on the vid i'm playing everything one fret down so it sounds the same as tuned down half a step, your right tho to play it when playing it in Eb everything moves up. Thanks :D

  • thanks i forgot to mention that your mint at gutair!

  • Thanks alot :D

  • cool thanks easy to understand whats that way of learning called?

  • i dunno, i think you mean tabbed (thats the numbers at the bottom) but tabs are normally set in lines of sixz to represent the 6 strings. keep it up :D

  • hard to understand it =/

    dificil pra entender =/ *

  • is there any easier way my fingers are a bit to small so uh yeah but i can almost get it

  • hmmm Fingers to small? Nowt i can do about that mate, just practise, its probably not thew length its more likely the speed, just try different excersizes like scales :)

  • you play well. i play on a saxophone

  • so you know next time, the 1st string is the thinnest e string and the 6th string is bottom E (the thick one)

  • Ugh! Hard on Acustic!

  • wow i can see it being :)

  • is this standard tuning?

  • no Eb (turned down half a step) to do it just tune your fisrt fret of every string to sound like it does when its open. all GNR songs are done this way. It tells you more in the vid

  • Hi Hayleys cousin!

  • thaks man

  • First comment!!! MOOOO!!!

  • Hi again, after almost a year of not posting i decided to get off my arse, put my maths homework down and make a new video. This video is just a quick lesson for anybody who wants to learn to play the famouse introduction fir Guns N' Roses Sweet Child O' Mine, i do however reccomend that you get a good guitar teacher if you do not already have one to teach you how to play guitar, not songs. (This is here for people who don't read descriptions :P)
