Really? When I was younger I didn't have a ton of street fights but never lost one of them. BUT when I first sparred in Thai boxing I got fatigued; it was all I could do to keep my guard up---and in BJJ, for the first few months I got owned several times. Now, I'm a far better fighter overall, especially with grappling.

Really? When I was younger I didn't have a ton of street fights but never lost one of them. BUT when I first sparred in Thai boxing I got fatigued; it was all I could do to keep my guard up---and in BJJ, for the first few months I got owned several times. Now, I'm a far better fighter overall, especially with grappling.
A skilled contact fighter will triumph over a bar tough guy most of the time.

You exhale when you strike for the simple fact that striking increases your vulnerability, and by exhaling you will decrease the chance of an oncoming attack REALLY hurting your organs.

definitely, if you learn even basic boxing, this movie doesn't lie about breathing you WILL win a fight by exhaling with every strike. The trick is remembering to do it!

Make your exhales quick, but not through an open mouth. You can grunt in place of exhaling to minimize the amount of air being lost.
