An English sixpence to be precise!. I recently bought half a dozen at a Market in Derry and they do make a hell of a difference when playing Brian's riffs and solos. The next time I put up a Queen tune I will use one of them.
Fantastic job! There's more to being an impressive musician than speed (which is like being impressed by the amount of time someone spends practising scales). This shows Brian's ability to compose and create music, rather than noodle away at blinding speeds. This is about music after all.
If you listen to his piano accompaniments and general fills, intros and embellishments, there is very, very little in modern/rock pop music that comes anywhere close to Freddie's ability.
Nice work. Do you know the harmonies in '39 by Queen, by any chance because I can't figure some of them out? It would be appreciated greatly if you could do a video on them? Thanks alot.
amazing amazing! As a musician myself I can only be happy to see someone recording the harmonies without using an "effect pedal" . The way you have recorded this is actually how Brian May recorded his solos (painstakingly) ... Very very well done. Compliments !!!
I used the Guitarport via Rifftracker to record but to be honest I would rather have used the Guitar rig but I haven't quite figured out how to use the tape decks yet...Ha ha!!!
Guitar rig 3 is fantastic, but it takes a hell of a lot of figuring out to get the sound you want...does for me anyway...LOL!!!!

Now, if you had used a penny (or nickel) instead of a guitar pick, it would've sounded just like Brian! LOL
Nice sound. Very controlled playing. Well done!
Cheers! (^-^)v

@lukessummerguitar So, if you buy 6 sixpence coins, that would come out to... LOL!
Make sure they are the ones that were minted in 1970. :)
Look forward to your next Queen upload!

I believe this solo was actually composed by Freddie, am I wrong?
amazing job btw

@lmbfr01
I hadn't heard that, but it is entirely possible.
Freddie was a truly underrated composer.

i like that guitar its a line 6 Variax right?
skeletonman100 2 years ago
Yes, the only problem with this particular model is the neck...it's terrible!
Though I know that Line 6 improved the Variax considerably with the 700 series. I hope to get one soon...
