She is so adorable! Haha, I love her attitude in this video. Just a smidge grumpy it seems. She and my niece would definitely be good friends. Personality wise they are so similar. My niece will touch any bug except spiders. Spiders, she will go running in the opposite direction.

@kichan Yes, she was a bit grumpy until she started catching frogs and grasshoppers. Nina isn't too into spiders either, unless they are very small. Indeed, she does sound similar to your niece! Glad to hear there are other girls out there who are also into bugs!

little girls (and some grown ups too xD) tend to run away screaming when they come across an insect or a frog.. as for nina, i could picture her running towards these insects or frogs and screaming "catch it! catch it!!" instead..

@ellamlc37 Mama was trying to find akebi, a kind of fruit, sort of like a pomegranate. And, Nina is not too fond of spiders, unless they are very very small.

Great video! I thought the scene of the grass blowing in the wind was really pretty. It brought back memories of me when I was in Japan and my Girl Scout troop went hiking in the jungle.

And Nina is so brave at that age. I would be terrified of picking up grasshoppers.

from my experience, snakes (and scorpions too) usually come out during hot day or very very very hot day (I know it because I'm from Borneo) and luckily you guys had the walk before typhoon :)

@turquoisesurprise I think most adults still have that desire to go walk in the woods and find bugs, but we just don't feel like it's an adult thing to do. Having a kid along makes it acceptable, so I feel lucky!
