So if that symbol is based on something else and is an adaptation of something completely different, it is solely up to the USER of said symbol to decipher what it means and it's intent.
Symbols have been adopted and meanings changed since the beginning of time. The SYMBOL is not evil, it's the INTENT of the USER of said symbol. SIMPLE.

According to masonic philosophers, Albert mackey and Albert Pike, Freemasonry is a gnostic religion, based off sun worship(osiris), and Manly P Hall(33rd degree mason) states that a mason must control the energies of Lucifer in order to move onward...therefore; the blue lodge masons are deceived, because their own philosophers state that it is sun worship, or the worship of Lucifer.

For if you actually READ Pike, you would know that Freemasonry is not about WORSHIP. Mackey was a HISTORIAN, not an OCCULTIST, and many of Manly P. Hall's books were written years BEFORE he ever became a Freemason.
Another thing of note, One has to wonder why the exact same names keep coming up as spokesman for Freemasonry when Freemasonry NEVER had 1.

On pg 353 of his work called the symbolism of freemasonry, Mackey States "The point within a circle is derived from sun-worship and is in reality of phallic origin. It is a symbol of the universe, the sun being represented by the point, while the circumference represents the universe" this backs up what Hall stated about Lucifer..
