So, I want to support you and to say to everyone that Portugal is the most fantastic country (my favorite one!) and Portugese people are really nice and ready to help to everyone and I like Portugal very much. Regarding ESC, my opinion is that Vania Fernandes and her comapny were the best, I voted for Portugal. And I was really happy that Portugal sent so good song.

I feel you may be mistaking Eurovision for a talent contest, when it is a song contest. Within the constraints of this setting a four would seem harsh, but each to their own. I would be intersted to know however, using your own criteria, who you felt should have won this year.

Well, Portugal sent a really great song and six powerfull singers this year and showed a wonderfull performance in Belgrade! AS manny friends of mine here in the uk, I also think this is no doubt the best song this year and should be the winner! I sadder because of portuguese 13th place than because of UK's last place. But, for the ones who don't know, Portugal was the choice of the Press for winner this year and placed 2nd in the Semi Final, following Ukraine, which placed first. So, dont b sad

Well, thank you, but to be honest I don't feel we are specially fantastic or beautiful as a people or as a country, just normal I suppose. I never look at countries when I watch the ESC, only at songs, that's why Portugal was never a favourite of mine in previous years.

This song is on a c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y different level to every other song that was heard that night. It is ethereal, haunting and perhaps even a little dark. A lament about lost love and longing & the pain that they both bring. It is a uniquely Portuguese song - and therein lies the reason why the wider European public (and especially those in the East) didn't get it.
You think it's boring because you don't understand the song. It has meaning, is full of passion and soul & is sung by a woman with a phenomenal voice. I expect you prefer the poppier crap that prevailed that evening - like Greece's Britney-lookalike, the pirates or the Russian dude with no shoes whose ice-skating partner kept threatening to slice his toes off? This and the Turkish entry were the best songs that evening.
What a powerful voice, what a beautiful song. How unfortunate that this contest is based on bribery. Singers like Vânia deserve the most attention because their songs have a deeper meaning, they have value. This song is extraordinary and unique. Fiquei triste, claro, pela (injusta) posição que obtivemos na final - afinal trata-se de um Festival de Canções onde estas deveriam ser o principal foco, o k nao acontece - mas não acho que devamos desistir. Se pensarmos bem nem foi tão mau... 13º lugar na final, 2º na semi, só com um país vizinho... já é um começo para um pais k obtem quase sempre maus resultados!
Penso que a atitude correcta seria levar o certame mais a sério, insistir num estilo típico portugues, forte, com alma... apostar na apresentação em palco sem descurar a qualidade da musica! É dificil? talvez... mas só se tentarmos e insistirmos com a Europa vamos fazer a diferença e provar que valemos mais nesta área do que muitos países que têm vindo a tirar louros nos ultimos tempos! I am Serbian and thus objective in this little "fight". So, I want to support you and to say to everyone that Portugal is the most fantastic country (my favorite one!) and Portugese people are really nice and ready to help to everyone and I like Portugal very much. Regarding ESC, my opinion is that Vania Fernandes and her comapny were the best, I voted for Portugal. And I was really happy that Portugal sent so good song.

The lady's fat and has a fairly nice voice while lacking power. But the melody has some very nice chord changes. On a scale from 1-10, I rate this performance a 4.

I feel you may be mistaking Eurovision for a talent contest, when it is a song contest. Within the constraints of this setting a four would seem harsh, but each to their own. I would be intersted to know however, using your own criteria, who you felt should have won this year.

Well, Portugal sent a really great song and six powerfull singers this year and showed a wonderfull performance in Belgrade! AS manny friends of mine here in the uk, I also think this is no doubt the best song this year and should be the winner! I sadder because of portuguese 13th place than because of UK's last place. But, for the ones who don't know, Portugal was the choice of the Press for winner this year and placed 2nd in the Semi Final, following Ukraine, which placed first. So, dont b sad

Well, thank you, but to be honest I don't feel we are specially fantastic or beautiful as a people or as a country, just normal I suppose. I never look at countries when I watch the ESC, only at songs, that's why Portugal was never a favourite of mine in previous years.

she was the best on stage, press and fans at belgrade wanted her to win and who was at the arena that night know what i mean.
Vania was fab and she didnt need to be hot, have a mini dress and all the circus show we are now used to see in eurovision.

This song is on a c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y different level to every other song that was heard that night. It is ethereal, haunting and perhaps even a little dark. A lament about lost love and longing & the pain that they both bring. It is a uniquely Portuguese song - and therein lies the reason why the wider European public (and especially those in the East) didn't get it.

You think it's boring because you don't understand the song. It has meaning, is full of passion and soul & is sung by a woman with a phenomenal voice. I expect you prefer the poppier crap that prevailed that evening - like Greece's Britney-lookalike, the pirates or the Russian dude with no shoes whose ice-skating partner kept threatening to slice his toes off? This and the Turkish entry were the best songs that evening.

Este ano foi o primeiro desde ha muito tempo em que fiquei orgulhoso pela prestação que tivemos no ESC. Fiquei triste, claro, pela (injusta) posição que obtivemos na final - afinal trata-se de um Festival de Canções onde estas deveriam ser o principal foco, o k nao acontece - mas não acho que devamos desistir. Se pensarmos bem nem foi tão mau... 13º lugar na final, 2º na semi, só com um país vizinho... já é um começo para um pais k obtem quase sempre maus resultados!

Penso que a atitude correcta seria levar o certame mais a sério, insistir num estilo típico portugues, forte, com alma... apostar na apresentação em palco sem descurar a qualidade da musica!
