Great build, looks amazing. I've tried twice with no avail, action is always waayyy off. Did you install a truss rod into the neck to prevent the strings from bending the neck, in turn effecting the action?
@eyetotheworld I installed two carbon fiber rods instead of an adjustable rod. I feel that mandolins don't need an adjustable rod. I've never had to adjust one anyway. I've built two mandolins now both with non-adjustable rods. the first one is about ten years old now and I've never had a problem with it. I wouldn't think of making one without some kind of reinforcement. you can get carbon fiber rods at hobby shops that sell little railroads and kites and stuff. pics here show the rods.
