  • Dear SIr,

I love this recipe it turned out to be awsome but sir i request you to please help me with the videos of burnt garlic soup, roasted garlic soup and also garlic and ginger paste which can be preserved for a long time in a refrigerator. it would be apriciated if the receipe is by chef sanjeev sir himself or by chef harpal sir or chef ms anoopa.

    Thanking you,

    Regards,

    Maulik Mehta

  • You can refer to the recipe of burnt garlic and zucchini soup on our site. For making the ginger paste and garlic paste , blend together fresh garlic / ginger along with water to a smooth paste. You can refrigerate this paste. Make sure you either cling wrap the container or store it in airtight jar.

  • I tried this soup today and it came out awesome. I want to thank u for this recipe.

I added some carrot slices. It gave a creamy texture to soup without adding cream :)

I also added some onion slices along with garlic for some extra flavour.

  • 220 degrees, Fahrenheit or celsius?

  • The soup recipe seems really wonderful, healthy, quick and easy!

And it does seem quite Indian in fact Punjabi as the chef is quite liberal with the oil!!!

  • The amount of the oil can be reduced taking into consideration health issues.

    Happy Cooking.

  • hello - thanx for all the receipies - I learnt cooking from you!

there is one receipie I am looking for - its steamed wonton with mushrooms that I ate at Radio Club in Mumbai but I dont know the exact name or what they put in it-- would you know? or do you know someone who knows? that would be supremely appreciated

  • Thank you for your appreciation. We will try and upload the recipe soon.

  • Y do ppl think that, I am punjabi(by ur name so r u) and our food doesn't swim in oil n nor is it overtly spicy. I notice southern food 2 b more oily n spicy then wut I eat. Yes ours may have a lot of butter or dairy products n that too is usually food from a hotel. All punjabis I kno don't drench food in oil n add a karchi food of mirch. Also olive oil is healthy oil unless u heat it, then it is worse then regular oil.

  • This looks wonderful. I am definitely going to make this one. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Waiting to hear from you. Thanks for your appreciation.

  • Chef ji, I love your recipes and your style of telling it. The way you tell it makes me feel like cooking all of it right away. Instead of Italian herb mix, are there any other alternatives to it. Indian cooking doesnt usually have basil, thyme, rosemary and oregano powder

  • Thanks for your appreciation. This is an Italian soup which is why we have used the mixed herbs. Indian alternative could be some garam masala powder. But the taste will be different. You could also add fresh coriander leaves.

  • I implied a figure of speech by that term! :) I meant that your recipe looks superb! No, not tried yet-- but is one of the recipes on my to-do list. As it is, my son is still asking me to make parathas! Time is so short! I must make tomorrow. He likes it with bananas :) Malaysian style.

  • Although, my other son, prefers them with egg and onions!

  • Why do you use the cilantro stems instead of the leaves? What type of spice blend did you use? Italian or Indian?

  • Cilantro stems also have a lot of flavour. Leaves look good to garnish. The spice blend was mixed herbs which is Italian and generally contains oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil etc.
