It is an open note if you will. Where you do not hold any fret, but just strum. It is to bring more realism and fun to the bass part. Instead of falling asleep at the controller while watching the other player do amazing feats on lead. It actually requires you to learn a whole new play style in order to be good at bass at the higher levels of play. I enjoy the bass more so then the lead sometimes it is quite fun.

its so the notes can go lower, its like an open note, so instead of green being the lowest note you have open,witch is strumming nothing on the frets.

I know what your talking about, You have to make sure your finger is on just one of them and if that's not the problem. There's always a return policy for atleast 30 days. I suggest you exchange it.

It's an open bass note, you don't hold anything just strum. there's also hammer on's and pull offs with it, where it's pinkish looking.

Korn does not have the best bassist ever...thats just ridiculous..now don't get me wrong he is an awesome bassist for a slap bassist but there are better. Even though i do not like RHCP i think Flea is a better bassist in terms of Skill but thats MHO
