Has anyone heard the story of this song being played at RCA? Sweet AND Bowie were in the same room. Bowie said to the lead singer that he liked the song. Next thing you know, out comes 'The Gene Genie'. Can anybody clarify?

This is my first time hearing one of their songs, but I am really impressed.

Surprisingly, since I'm a fourteen year old glam purist who thinks all not Bowie is crap and glitter rock is inferior to glam and actually differentiates the two… but this is a srsly addictive song. And a cool band.
