I know what you mean Poppet1000, My cat Hunter used to sit on my coat when I got ready for work thinking that if I couldn't put on my coat I wouldn't leave. But every day when I got home I would see his sweet face in the window waiting for me. I lived in a cold drafty Apt. in Anchorage and he used to curl up next to my trunk under the covers. He was way better than a hot water bottle. He was really only a one person cat, only I could pick him up, or feed him, or brush him. He was so loyal to me.

My British Shorthair lived for 21 years, His name was Hunter. The best cat ever! I miss him and even though he's been gone these seven years I still cry sometimes because I miss him so much. That cat was always up to something, he always surprised me. He loved flowers, I used to tell my neighbor that I was sorry that he was always in her flower garden and she said she didn't mind because he didn't harm any of the plants, he just went in there to sniff them , He had a gentile soul. loved him.

@Bunzypoo Thank you for your kind words. British Blues are also the best mousers in world. When I moved into this one apt it was over run with mice, my cat Hunter had them all out it a WEEK! Then he got bored and he started catching them out in the yard and brought three of them back in to run around. I kept telling my brother that he had to check his mouth before opening the door. He kept saying, "Oh, he wouldn't do that again." But he did it three times in row ! Hunter was always up to hijinx

@Bunzypoo to elaborate on the story , when Hunter brought in those mice in a space of an half hour, and each mouse was bigger than the one before it. I really hate mice and I was jumping on the couch freaking out as my brother grabbed the broom and swept the mouse out, So I kept telling him to check his mouth before he opened the door. Then another mouse episode a few min later and the same thing with me screaming and my brother with the broom. Hunter looking at me like :get a grip!

They are so beautiful!! I had one, he passed away last April. I miss him so. Does anyone know a breeder around Mass? Mine came from California. Elusive Blue. Great breeder. I would just rather go with someone around where I live now. Such precious cats. They are all that is listed about them. Soft and gentle giants. So loyal. I could not put my shoes on without him walking around the corner and laying on my feet so I couldn't tie my shoes to leave!!! My Babe.
