Damn I love me a nice shark steak, shame they're really only a special treat in my house. Definitely a classic style with the olive oil and lemon marinade on the grill, but I never thought of actually placing dried herbs on there. Would be even better on an good ol' American kettle-style grill, although perhaps a bit too smokey, especially with the sherry and Worcestershire based sauce.
stein is wearisome...often quoting books or peddling cliches, his food gets in the way of him being a lucky oaf on a wing and a prayer...add salt, pepper, and a tiresome repetitive sense of wonder at the edible...
well, that was nice to see - been many, many years since I saw Floyd cook. Gosh, the memories of my childhood are just flowing back, I must've sat in the living room with my mother and father a thousand times in my formative years, watching his shows.
Oh, and Rick Stein is lovely too - especially his Food Heroes series, that's probably my favourite food-tv series. So comforting, somehow.
@MrParkerOnDaBeat One part of that sentence was correct: 'The Dude'. Keith Floyd is, and forever will be our first and foremost, most favourite T.V chef, of all time, ever.
@AkuzaGhost the guy in the sweater or Keith Floyd was one of the most respected chefs from the UK, unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago.
What a joy to see again !! I tried shark a couple of times and I am still yawning. Monkfish however I find delicious, best I think as gougons, French fries and a garlic mayo dip ! Yummy. A brilliant pair.
i've eaten both monkfish and shark. Monkfish is a cheap nasty kind of fish and they're ugly ass you can see. Monkfish taste really dry for a fish, did not care for it. Shark on the other hand.... is extremely good probably one of the best fish that i have had. Mako shark i had which is very good a thicker meat, tender and really good.
Oh my god this is hilarious!

Always thought Shark meat was horrible because they piss through their flesh?
TheRealAlanPartridge 3 months ago
@TheRealAlanPartridge fresh sharks meat smells strange (because of fish fat) when it is raw, but if you cook it - it is very soft and tasty.
