Another video like this coming soon regarding electrification? Unless in response to the declining availability of diesel fuel they are bringing back steam trains :-S
As I understand it a flyover will be provided on the Reading - Didcot route 'fast' lines to provide grade separation with the route that heads through Reading West. Unless I am missing something this will mean that all 'fast' line trains approaching Reading from the West will have to decelerate downhill and all those heading West will need to accelerate uphill, which just thinking back to my 'A Level' Physics days (and examining the design of TfL's Central Line) seems to be the wrong way around
@myvids1977 Well if that is right, i doubt they will worry about it to much. Modern passenger trains dont flinch when it comes to grades and wot-not. We're not talking about 9 MK1's and a class 31, 47 etc here LOL.
The video doesn't really give muh information but is full of special-effect type animations. A bit of a gaffer-dazzler, as we call them at work.

Its a bit worrying that NR got the signal aspects wrong.......
matthewpeter 9 months ago
@matthewpeter it was probably produced by an outside contractor who know nothing about signalling.
