What impressed me is how the sound you capture can be heard from behind and around the head. I have a pair of binaural microphones for the ears(using myself as the dummy head) and yet while I do get some direction from them I fail to capture the sounds recorded behind me.
This is incredible. When the garage door went up, and there's the knock on the door, I actually got up to check. No one there. Hm. Other door? Nope. Hum. Could it be the video? No. I rewind it a few seconds, the door knocks again, I turn and look. Couldn't be the video, too real!
A psychology of music professor told me about the possibility of these things, and I was just looking to see if it would be possible, and I see that you've already done it.
back for more i love this and believe me this is as good sounding on my ipod headphones plugged into the pc as it is on expensive equipment , i promise ive tried thats the beauty of this
Wow decided to try listening to this with my Ibasso D10 Cobra Amp and Ultrasone 650 Pro's and the sound is amazing! Congrats on your app. Watching this made me purchase Aves and enjoying every second of it.
wow this is absolutely amazing. good job man! you actually made me get up from my sofa to go check if someone was knocking the door. i'm gonna get AVES once i free up some space from my iphone
Thanks! I appreciate the comment. The volume thing is simply because I wanted to preserve the full dynamic range. Makes for more realistic impacts. Sorry, no compression used.
this video is so soothing.

that knocking was so realistic. I replayed that few seconds like 5 times just to make sure it was from the video

Cool, cool, cool!! I'm in binaural heaven! Your poor kitty must have hated you for the tossed lightbulbs!
More, please!

This is fantastic. One of the most convincing binaural recording/video demos I've seen.
It's a little too quiet though, I've had to crank the volume right up to hear in most of the vid.

Noticed that now that you mention it. Those light bulbs are terrifying! I'm still picking the shards out of my brain.
