The seats do not spin on there own.

As you notice the roller coaster has a purple and a yellow rail. The yellow rail is like any other traditional coaste which supports the train allowing it to run along the track. What the difference is the purple rails the purple rails are called the "X- Rails" they have spacial varings between the purple and yellow rail. So when the space between the purple and yellow rail opens up the gear rack in the seats forces the seats to spin.

YES! I LOVE X!! When I heard that me and my family were going to visit my uncle in California, I asked if we could go to Magic Mountain, and since we were only an hour away, me and my dad went...4 times total I got to ride X until we flew back to NY...simply the best thrill ride Ive been on (Note: I've ridden Volcano, Magnum XL500, Milenium Force, Kingda Ka, Nitro AND The Hulk, and I have to say that X is the best thrill delivering ride Ive been on)

This coaster is insane. Imagine riding a looping coaster while your car flips in somersaults. It's the zipper meets a looping coaster.
