All I can say is that Chinese Democracy is one of the most brilliant bodies of work I have ever heard. Axl Rose is a true artist, there is no doubt. I respect the man for doing it his way and for his patience and persistence to achieve excellence. That album blows me away. It is a masterpiece, so powerful and nuanced.

Growing up as a kid, I always idolized the musicians more than the frontmen. I loved G n' R because of the musical chemistry. You had Slash who has a heavy bluesy UFO/Thin Lizzy sound and Izzy who has a punky Johnny Thunders/Stooges sound. Duff was and is a respected hardcore veteran and both Adler and Soren did their jobs well.

I luv GnR but it disappoints me that they seem to need to put down other LA bands that I love.The main one RATT which had at least 4 decent albums to GnR magnificent 2.5.I wish they'd reform though.

@wwwspelenlsucks I tottaly agree one of my "friends" said that the reel gun is the new one, but I asked him wich new one they axl have changed members like 35 times. oh the reel gunners is Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and steven no doubt that was the best rock band in history that my oppinion:D

they were the sht in the 80's so much better than any of the other cookie cutter hair bands ..they really could have been the only 80's rock band and I wouldnt have missed anything...and why does everyone act like they ended in a bad way they lasted for years and nothing with that much going on and all the controversy could never last forever..they did their thing and sold millions I dont consider anything aboiut them a failure or cut to short..they had their run and were the best..

The original line-up is the greatest rock band of all time. Axl's legendary voice and presence, Slash's emotional guitar playing, Izzy's genius talent of song-writing, Duff's awesome bass lines, and Steven's thunderous drums. There will never be a band like the original Guns N' Roses again.
