  • Is therre a video with the Celestion speaker? If not, will you make a new video with it? Thank you kindly!

  • @Andrelix67 You check out the MP3 clips on I did w/ the Celestion on Tunsten Amps website. I love the G12H30 speaker in this amp.

  • Great tone, I have the same sg without the vibrola. Are your 57 paf,s super bright? I like the amp with your tele best and with the sg just not dimed but you work with the amp great.

  • @monsterlabeffects Thanks, the pickups are well balanced, not too bright.

  • 2:53 sucha fun lick !!!!

  • how much iz 1??

  • I haven't had the pleasure of playing a Tungsten amp (yet!) but for what I've played of the Fender Hot Rod series, I can properly assure you they don't have this natural response. Every Hot Rod I've played (or Blues Jr. for that matter) has sounded boxy and dull. From what I hear on these videos, this is absolutely not the case. Besides, HRDs can't do overdriven or distorted tones decently.

  • Blues junior springs to mind here like

  • Proper love tube amps man, I have the HRDx3, solid state just does not cut it man, they can emulate good, but they just dont have that response kick a tube gets, tube amps are alive man, they respond to your playing, rather than the same level all the boring time

  • do U think it has a better tone clean than the hot rod deluxe, what about the deluxe reverb

  • Awesome demo! Can you tell me what brand of pre-amp tubes are used in this demo? Thanks.

  • @ryanacree thanks! Just the stock tubes the amp shipped with, see their website for details.

  • @ryanacree I asked Tungsten and they ship with JJ 12AX7's.

  • What brand of HD camera are you using?? The quality is amazing. It's more interesting than the amp lol.

  • @extazy1981 I used a Lumix ZS3, glad you like the shots!

  • Always look forward to your videos, nicely done. Wondered about your opinion on the Weber Copper Caps in this and other amps. Thanks!

  • @sunbrst62 Thanks! No real opinion on the Copper Caps, the amp sounded great to me with it and seemed to respond pretty close to a real tube. I've since put in a tube 5y3 for a full traditional tube line up and didn't notice any really dramatic change.

  • I appreciate the detailed reply Greg. I don't know how you find time to learn all that about producing/recording a video..........and..........have your git-tar chops.

    Thanks..........

  • @TheRealFishdawg Thank you!

  • Hey man, you did one heck of a job on that demo. Great tasteful playing. The quality of the video is also much better then normal on YouTube amp demo's. What kind of camera are you using? Are you recording the amp with software and syncing it up with the video? That can't be the mic on the camera?

    Thanks.........

  • @TheRealFishdawg Thanks! I use an HD camera to both shoot the video and all the still pics. Record audio in Pro Tools, mix dialog as well, export. Line up audio with HD video and edit it all together so it has a natural flow and cadence in Final Cut. Typically I shoot an hour or more of video, to edit down to 5-10 minutes of final HD video presented. It takes a long time to do this by myself, from A/V setup to final rendering and uploading to YT.

  • Wow I want your guitar skills. Just finishing the build on a original 57 Deluxe with Jensen P12R speaker. I need to pick up some wire for my speaker tomorrow and its done. You made me really excited to finish it =D

  • @JoshwaBurke Thanks! Enjoy your new amp!

  • Best demos I've seen on youtube: professional, well organised, simple and straight-forward. Great playing as always ! GO GREG !!!!

  • @rioolput123 Many thanks!

  • are you sure that sg is a vos with 57pick up???????

I think is a sg gibson historic standard gloss with burstbucker!! correct?

  • @reman94 It's a 2006 Historic VOS SG, with aged finish and hardware. It has '57 Classics but I think later versions have Burstbuckers.

  • 57 classics are amazing man!!!!

  • THAT AMP SOUNDS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD]

  • @jcedozer Right on!

  • i guess i could get a tremolo pedal......

the only thing i would miss with this amp

the only thing i will miss with this amp

  • Damn you greg for making me GAS for one of these........

  • @dannyslayer Thanks :)

  • damn bro~

  • @twirlyboggs Thanks!

  • is the Gibson Custom SG Standard VOS same guitar with yours except from the tremolo?

  • @PRIXIES I think so...

  • What pickups are in your SG?

  • @gingerhendrix55 Factory stock '57 Classics.

  • Gosh-DANG it! You ROCK Greg!

  • @jharri1 Thank you!

  • i could listen to greg all day!very informative about the gear, and playing is inspired

  • @ev6e9ts Thank you very much, glad you like my demos!

  • Does the room you are in have a high ceiling? High ceilings make for better sounding recordings. Nice sounding amp.

  • @Hereistone 9 ft ceilings but the amp sounds great wherever I use it.

  • @GregVmusic hmm, it sounds like a bigger room, it may just be that it's mostly empty, adding some room reverb to the sound.

  • @GregVmusic Just read the discription about how you recorded it.....Now I get it. ;)

  • You're awesome, but man you look like Austin Powers!

  • @coolbritannia1979 Cool !

  • Not to take anything away from this fine amplifier, but something tells me you could plug a guitar into a washing machine and make it sound good!

  • @pixeldelic Thanks!

  • Man, great demos of this amp, Greg. My Crema Wheat should arrive in a couple of days and your SG demo has me really excited to plug in my Teye!

  • @biaxident007 Thank you!

  • One of the best tweeds I've heard. Love this amp and what Adam has done to tweak it. Playing and production is great as usual Greg.........

  • Thanks for good words folks! Glad you like my product demo videos!

    Cheers,

    Greg V.

  • Great tone.

And what camera do you use?

    CP

  • Thanks, I use a Panasonic ZS3 for pics and record audio with ProTools.

  • Very thick and throaty with the SG Greg..kinda like a great Berry smoothy!

  • Thanks! The Crema Wheat really loves both humbuckers and single-coils. Love it!

  • Man Ur good... Let's hang!

  • Thanks!

  • Hey Greg, Long time no talk. It was cool to see you on this video. Very professional! Man, I will never get tired of your amazing playing. Talk to ya soon.

    Cheers,

    Ken

    Captain

    United Airlines

  • Thanks Ken, Hope all is well and you're playing a bunch!

  • Killer.

  • Thank you!

  • Man, you are nailing these demos, Greg. Speaking audio is now perfect. Oh, and you play kinda okay, too. :) Keep 'em comin'.

    B

  • Thank you very much!

  • Good stuff greg. Scumback in that?

  • Thanks! Yes, Scumback for this video. However, I replaced it for a Celestion G12H30 Anniversary speaker and the Crema Wheat circuit is now fully maximized IMO. Big bold bass, 3D midrange and defined treble and louder as well since the G12H30 is more efficient Love it!

  • Daaang Greg!!

  • Thanks!

  • Greg, you are killing me with your excellent demos of this amp! Just fantastic! Love the tones your getting out of this amp! Take care, Trina

  • your playing is so natural!

  • Love your videos, keep them coming.
