@gonegang95 Not long after the drop system was added, weapons found that way would have a random level between 0 and 100. After the Sniper vs. Spy Update, they removed level 0. And with the May 29th, 2009 patch, they removed random weapons entirely.

@OriganalPie wrong, melee attacks in TF2 hit at the beginning of the animation. not the eng like you would expect. althogh i am still in doubt that his is real. charging the ubercharge meter is a feature unique to the ubersaw. if weapon levels count for anything, then surely valve would make it affect something more universal, such as damage, or attack speed.
