Heya, I got a creative zen before and i found it so reliable it still works and i've had it about 3 years now but i want to update it to a new zen. I've had ipods in the past and they've broke and froze up easily. I dont really trust them. i want to buy a good mp3 player thats stylish, easy to use and value for money/sturdy/wont break easily Do you reckon that this player would stand the test of time? or maybe the version X fi 2 would be better? or is it worth saving a little more for an ipod?

iPods are the better product. I own the iPod touch 8gb 2nd gen, and the iPod touch 64gb 3rd gen, and I LOVE them!! They may cost many times the price of this little mp3 player, but seeing this video I know that this little fu***r can't do even a fourth of the things my itouchs can! hahaha as a matter of fact I'm on my iTouch 64gb right now :) iPods are worth every dollar!

@MrPenafiel Well if you want to play games or watch videos, yeah iPod Touch is better, but if you just want to listen to music I'm positive that this is 20 times better and 30 times cheaper.

I dont want to get an iPod as Apple products are ridiculously over priced. I'd like to get the Zen but I've yet to find out its battery life while playing. My current mp3 player is 12 hours. Though its getting old and the battery is starting to ware out.

actually it's autonomy is 25 hours of music with earphones and 15 with speaker.

Excuse me, but did he completely to forget to discuss sound quality???? The headphones that come with this thing are way better than Ipod stock headphones and combined with whatever Creative does with this Xi-Fi technology it sounds much better than an Ipod. Not mentioning this makes this review worthless.

Never settle for what the masses tell you. It was once the best and was no real great alternative, competition is healthy, and as we now see with the iphone, competition is a great and real alternative. This isnt Apples year, its Samsung/Nokias/Creatives/Sony'­s.

Dont get me wrong, im glad your happy with your ipod, but there are alternatives that perform just as well and better, even at a cheaper price at times.

is their anything better than an ipod? ive still got my fourth gen 20GB. cost me $500AUD. its six years old and slowly starting to show signs of carking it.

its a bit bulky, and a bitch with loading due to that lovely program called iTunes. i tried dodging the program with other third party software, but Vista has ensured i can no longer access it.

does anything exist yet with the capability of this X-Fi but the user interface of the ipod, like the buttons?

I love this zen X-fi cause it builted a speaker in.. And my sister got ipod touch already the speaker cannot open louder music or sound.. in this X-Fi more louder.. first i bought Zen mozaic and the music can open too loud.. of the speaker.. now i gaved to my mom.. :) and bought Zen X-FI. So cool. i like this Mp3

But i got a problem.. i want to know how to install themes on it :S

I got zen x-fi too it's very easy to use.. when u goto internet it will open a keyboard on the screen then need to choose those text to type :) so simple

I havent tried to goto internet but i think it will or u can open the keyboard... When i edit music name its the same.. as internet typing text.

I'm not sure if you've ever used a zen vision m but I've had mine for a few years and I love it and sadly the screen broke, so I need to get a new mp3 player. Do you suggest this one as a good replacement for it, or is there another mp3 player that might be better? From your review it definitely looks like something I might want, also I heard that it has built in speakers, is that true?

what you have you got?? Mine is also broken. so I need new one as well. I used to listen the music via speaker. my ears is a little bit hurt. so I know some products has built in speaker. P3 is latest product so i'm gonna take p3 this weekend. Before i get, I'll compare the P3 to ipod touch one by one.

I beleive taht the zen x-fi owns the ipod nano.

Half the stuff they (apple) use to market their players are useless anyway. (I mean, shake to shuffle?-use it-at the expense of looking like at idiot) The x-fi supports more codecs that the ipod in audio and video, has wifi, expandable memory, radio, voice recorder, X-FI (not explained in this video)

AND ALSO PREMIUM EARPHONES ( -Not cheap ipod ones) :)
