This is obviously a European audience, as they know not to applaud until the concerto is over. I have always hated the way Americans behave at concerts. Gitlis is unquestionably one of the greatest violinists of all time. I do not see anyone on today's scene who matches his interpretations. He's also very impressive to watch. He plays with respect; never dances around making funny faces like Joshua Bell. That is totally unnecessary & those who do this ought to be horsewhipped.
