@TaylorSwifBiggestFAn Hi! Thank you for watching. Did the second batch that went flat come from the same mixture as the first batch or was it from a different time you made it? Sometimes overmixing the batter and incorporating too much air can make the final product flatter. If the flat cookies were from the same mixture as the high cookies, it might have something to do with the temperature of the batter and chilling it might help. Thank you again for stopping by! Hugs...
@TaylorSwifBiggestFAn Chill the dough between batches and you need to cool the pan down...after the 1st batch....in my opinion.....just run the faucet over the backside ...till the pan is cool to the touch ....then load more chilled batter to bake and repeat. I have found a cold cookie sheet works great for all types of cookies.
@hotdog1997 Hi! Thank you so much for watching and writing. I've never used a homemade cake mix in this recipe before, but it should work. Please let me know how it turns out. Thank you again for watching. Hugs...
@jadeforever23 Hi. Thanks for watching! Yes, foil will work just fine. I usually use the non-stick foil. If you don't have non-stick, you may want to grease the top of the foil to prevent any sticking. Hope you like these cookies. Have a beautiful day my friend!
@minorot Hi. Thank you so much for watching and writing in! I'm always dropping stuff, lol, and these cookies slid right off. Love your idea of the jelly roll pan!! Thank you my dear friend. Hope all is well your way. Have a beautiful weekend! Hugs...

@conichka6 Hi! Thank you so very much for watching and for the kind words. I truly appreciate it. Wishing you and yours a beautiful and blessed Holiday! Hugs...
I was leary of trying this type of recipe but was very surprised at just how good the cookie is. I use yellow cake mix and choc chips. Still a bit of a snob when I want an extra special choc chip cookie since discovering Alton Brown's "crispy" choc chip cookie recipe. Sooooo good.
@KissHope Hi. Thanks so much for watching and writing in! I love the way you made them... yellow cake mix and choc chips! Sounds wonderful. If you like Lemon, these are great with lemon cake mix and lemon icing! I've got to look up Alton's "crispy" choc chip recipe... everything he makes is amazing! :-) Have a beautiful weekend. Big hugs to you and yours...
If you do try Alton's recipe do yourself a favor and buy the Gheradelli choc chips, indeed a bit more expensive but this cookie is just that goodt puts the whole thing way over the top. Btw just made a batch of lemon drop cookies and if you have made from scratch you know it's difficult to get an abundance of lemon taste and you can only use so much juice/zest til it gets bitter . :Tip: use a 1/4 tsp - 1/2 tsp lemon aid dry mix for 1.5 dz amazing!
@KissHope Hi my dear friend! Oh I love ghirardelli choc chips. Have you ever tried their triple chocolate brownie mix (I usually buy it at Costco)? OMG, those things are to die for! Best brownies ever! :-) Your lemon drop cookies sound awesome too. Thank you for the wonderful tip! I love this time of year and all the baking and goodies. Talk to you soon. Big hugs...
I just finished making cookies almost exactly like this, using the same cake mix. Except I used 1/2 cup of butter instead of vegetable oil. And I used peanut butter chips too. Then I sprinkled a chocolate bar on top of them. Haven't tried them yet but excited to! :)
@Whitaby Hi! Thank you so much for writing in. Yummy... I bet the peanut butter chips and sprinkled with a chocolate bar made these cookies even better! Sounds absolutely delicious! Thank you for sharing. I might have to try that next time. Hope you are doing great. Have a beautiful day. Hugs to you and yours...
@jwpolar Thank you so much for writing in... this was an excellent question! :-) It's kind of hard to describe. I think it tastes more like a soft cookie, because it's not fluffy like a cake or real hard like a regular cookie. Thank you again for commenting! Take care... hugs!
@marcusliou Hi marcusliou! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Hope you can give these a try. So easy to make and yummy! Have a beautiful day! Hugs!
Erm hi....May i ask u a question??? I have a unsalted butter, premium cookie premix, chocolate chips, flower sweets and cookie cutter can u teach me how to make cookies using these ingredients please ??? T_T Im so stupid i cant bake it.... And can i use my hands or a spatula to stir the flour??? Thanks~!
Ha ha, no problem at all. I definitely need to try your version! Sounds so good! I love tweaking and changing up recipes! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and your family! Much love!
what i do is use an electric mixer mix in one packet of cake mix . . one 8 oz cheese cheese [ room temp. ] and one stick of butter [ room temp ] let it set in the fridge for an hour . . roll them into balls AND ROLL THEM IN POWDER SUGAR re hear oven to 350 degrees let them bake for 12 minutes let them cool then powder them with powdered sugar . . and you got yourself a yummy gooey cookie YUM!!
Hi! How are you? Hope you are doing great! Thanks so much for watching and writing in! Your version sounds really good. Was that 8 oz of cream cheese? Everything is better with cream cheese! :-) Thank you so much for sharing! Yummy! Happy Holidays to you and yours! Hugs!!!!
I made these and they were GREAT! I highly suggest pillsbury cake mix though...I even added choc chips and walnuts.... OMG... so so good! I always give some of my baked goods to company as they drop in and everyone wanted the recipie.
Hi scoobzmyman! Thank you so much for watching and letting me know how these turned out! This is wonderful! I usually use Betty Crocker mixes, but next I'm definitely going for the Pillsbury. Hi gogirl929. How are you? I'm sorry I just now found your post. For this recipe, I would use vegetable/canola oil. I think that would work best. Hope you can try this recipe... it's so easy and yummy! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs!
Thank you so much for the sweet words. I really appreciate it. I can't do a video without messing up, ha ha ha. Hope you are well! Have a beautiful weekend! Hugs...
Thanks for posting this recipe, I used to make them years ago and lost the recipe - so easy though you'd think that would be impossible huh? My favorite version was with white cake mix and add ins - 8 oz. coconut and 6 oz. white/regular chocolate chips.
Hi! How are you? Thank you so much for watching and commenting! LOL over losing the recipe. I do that all the time. :-) I really like your cake mix version! I never thought of adding in coconut and chocolate chips! Oh wow! I need to try that! I'm starting my Wal-Mart list as I type this, LOL. :-) Thank you for sharing! Great, great, great idea! Have a wonderful day! Hugs to you and yours...

Hi SeoulDriver! How are you? Thank you so much for watching! Baking is fun and easy... you will do great at it! Just be careful not to drop your cookies like I did, ha ha ha!
:-) Hope all is well with! Have a beautiful day! Hugs...
LOL Hi JustinerFromQueens! Thank you for watching and posting such a sweet comment! I really appreciate it! I lost my cookies in this video! HA HA HA! I didn't want to add that part, but Mom thought it was funny. My face was red... still is. Hope you have a beautiful day! Hugs to you and yours!
Hi PrettylindaCp! How are you? I really like your idea of adding the ice cream! Yummy!!! I will have to try that next time! A warm cookie with a scoop (or two, LOL) of ice cream.... mmmmmmm :-) Hugs to you!
Hiya Amy... Yes I see what you mean by the parchment paper being slippery. This video of yours gives a whole new meaning to cookie recipes that call themselves Drop Cookies! I will think of you whenever I see a drop cookie recipe... you always make me smile!
LOL, I really lost my cookies on that one, huh? HA HA HA. I didn't want to add that part to the video, but the camera woman (Mom) thought it was funny. I was embarrassed, LOL. "Drop" cookies! ROFL ROFL.... that's so funny! I never thought of that! :-) Thank you for watching and commenting! Your comments make me smile! :-) Big hugs to you and yours!!!
Ha ha ha... I can't do a video without messing up somehow or laughing through the whole thing. I didn't want to put in the part where I dropped the cookies, but Mom over-ruled, LOL. Oh well... as one dear friend said, "I lost my cookies!" HA HA HA! Thank you for watching! :-)
LOL at the cookie drop. Did you have to make another batch or did you have leftover batter?
I like how easy & cheap this recipe is. Considering the price of the ingredients, when cake mix is on sale for $1/box the whole batch of cookies probably ends up totaling less than $2.50. Good stuff!
Hi Fez! How are you? LOL over me losing my cookies! Thank goodness I had left over batter! I was really careful the second time around. If you like lemon, a lemon cake mix is great to make cookies! Then top it with lemon icing! Yummy!
Do you still do acrobatics? How long did it take you before you could do those flips/moves? I soooo wish I could do that stuff! :-) Have a beautiful day!
I do still practice -- it's a great way to burn off all the calories from youtube recipes, haha! I'm planning to release my most recent footage this winter, but may upload a video or two from 2008. The flips take only a few weeks to learn, surprisingly! If you have access to a trampoline, it is a great low-risk learning tool and also great exercise. I bet you'd be backflipping in two weeks! Then, you could bake some cookies or a casserole in mid-air!
Hi Fez! I can't wait to see more of your videos! Would this be a trampoline with the harness thingy on you? I used to have a trampoline (not with the harness though), but I never did a flip. I always wanted to try, but never got around to actually doing it. Fun when you get two jumpers and get it timed right to catapult you high into the air! Fun times, LOL. I do wish I could do those backflips! I'd really lose my cookies then, HA HA HA! Hugs to you!
The standard backyard trampoline you mentioned is exactly the one I'm talking about :D. No harnesses or anything. You first learn how to fall onto your back with complete confidence, then one day you just throw your head back, tuck your knees in, and hope for the best! Oh yes, and it is definitely fun to have two other people jump at the same time and catapult you up, though I tend to have bad luck and fly completely off LOL!
Wow... no harness? I'd be scared to try it for the first time. Have you ever gotten injured from the flips? I know what you mean about being catapulted... I've flown off a trampoline many times. It was still fun though. My fabric on the trampoline eventually got old and tore. I really miss the trampoline. It was great exercise!
I have been injured a good number of times, but that's because I'm very reckless hahaha -- it wasn't on backflips or frontflips, but on more advanced stuff. One of the good things I had going for me were friends who would "spot" me by putting their hands on my lower back in case I was going to fall. All gymnastics gyms have teachers who can spot you when trying new moves. Never hurts to be safe!
Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

LOL... Hi Paul! How are you? Thank you so much for watching and for the kind compliment :-) You are sweet! Hope you have a great weekend! Talk to you later...
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it! These are very easy to make and quick. If you need some cookies for a party, you can whip these up in no time with all different flavors! :-) Have a beautiful day!
Lauren sweetie! How are you doing? HAHAHA over the parchment paper! I was clumsy all day yesterday. I did NOT want to put that part into the video but Mom thought it was "cute" LOL. I'm embarrassed. Lemon cake mix with icing..... definitely a good combo! You've got to try it... it's so good and easy! Big hugs coming your way! :-)
OMGoodness!! Don't be embarrassed!! Just have fun with it. Those little funny "ooops" are what make the videos so much fun to watch. We all do stuff like that don't we? God Bless ya Sweetie!

Ha ha! Loved the parchment paper blooper! They look so good, and oooooh the lemon flavor... with icing! Mmmmm! :O)
