hi mate. great video, but how did you modify the damage? i've turned the sensitivity up to 200% in plr file, but how did you edit the damage files? and where are the damage files located? thanks alot.
The problem with damage is not that it's not sensitive enough (although that's another problem entirely) but that not enough separate pieces break off. Always the wheels, wings and suspension, and that's it. Watch it on TV and you see that loads of little pieces break away, and the wings break into different pieces, and suspension fly around. Until they make this the case, they'll never make a realistic damage model. It's not like the devs don't have to resources, I don't get it..
Yup the damage files are maby a little too severe at the moment but i havent had time to refine them because ive been working on a damage file for the PCC Mod by Team GSMF, its much better, check out the Tarmac Terrorism video and see!
In the last clip where there is a huge crash the damage is too sensitive, all the other clips were taken after id refined it a bit, i think the reactions in those clips are more realistic. I just had to put that end clip in for fun!
I agree the damage is a bit conservative, but youve made it too sensitive. I'd say it is just as unrealistic as it was originally. Back it down some and it will be good.
How do you edit the damage file? Please let me know. Thanks

Yes I know what you mean. Even the old GP4 had a better damage model

I have done some work with damage, also I have made documentation of all damage parameters which you can find from my homepage.
It is not too difficult to get pretty nice damage, mostly it requires testing.
Hopefully more modders will take advantage of proper damage.

Looks great. I'm going to have to learn how to do this tweak! Way more realistic I think!

how do u zoom in when watching a replay?
timetodoit 5 years ago
you have to go into controllers and find ZOOM IN in the menu and map a key to it.
