I actually prefer for covers to differ from originals. for instance, i consider van morrison's and patti smith's versions of "gloria" to be two different awesome songs. this is just garbage.

Shame on anyone/everyone who helped record and publish this disgrace of a cover version of an iconic song written and sung by a true genius singer/songwriter. Absolute garbage. The only nice thing I can say about it is that is was sung in Bret Michaels' monotone vocal range of 4 notes- well done not changing keys OR pitch! The album shoulda been called "Look What the Music Industry Sh!t Out"!

I like Poison, I saw them in concert, but I don't think they did a good job with this. Jim Croce sung it much better. Poisons still kick-ass though.
