I love this song, doris probably had fun singing it and it was a change for her even if it wasn't going to be a hit but i think it's really good. Besides Doris, rock 'n' roll music is what i love and 50s and 60s music - older than that too aswell is what i enjoy. I even recorded myself singing this the other day on a tape - it didn't turn out too bad - haha!.

I'm sure Columbia was wanting Doris to sing something close to rock n roll ... but she did a good job of it ! Not her cup of tea I'm sure but ... not too bad !

Thanks, Dayniac! Doris could do anything. Love the song. Ballads were great but going out of style. Wish they had let her do more modern songs with Terry as producer. I'm uploading movies, too, to bring attention to Doris.

EmC - it's not one of her most popular songs. One of her few rock and roll attemps. I think Marty thought she should make more upbeat songs. At one time he declared she would sing no more ballads....which is what she does best. She's stated that she likes to sing slow tempo songs and everyone was always wanting her to sing faster.

But - I like it - it's fun.

You know - I've been thinking about those 2000 actresses. When I was young I had a notebook - I wrote down every movie I watched and every star I'd seen in them. I bet if I found it I'd have 2000. Watching old movies was my hobby from around the age of 5 or 6 ! I'm such an old-movie-a-holic !
