Hi. I don't have that scope, but I think I know what it's doing.
It's probably not an acquisition error.
The graphics routines simply connect min and max point of each sampling interval in succession: min1,max1,min2,max2,... in order to fill the area in between.
This works when points are horizontally less than one pixel apart (upper trace), otherwise you see diagonal lines connecting them (bottom trace).
I use this drawing method in one of my own programs.
