This van was an adandoned vehicle!! When everyone was first kettled there was a van which was parked away from the other vans and on the opposite side of the police line. It was there for at least 15-20 minutes before people became aggitated and someone stood ontop of it. Police COULD have interviened but they refused to, they were more concerned with filming. There is a "POLICE AWARE" sticker on the top corner of the van which police put on vehicles which are out of use. It was all a set up!

I used to support the student cause, and so did my partner, she was a member of the NUS. Lots of my friends and co-workers also supported the students cause. Things are different now, now we do not. Its a shame they have decided to behave like this. I watched the protest in Brighton this week. Shameful and provocative behavior by the students and in my opinion alot were there to cause grief and i didnt see the old type of protest that we used to have. They just want to riot and its not helping.

Police repeatedly refused to move the van when questioned by protesters, when the crowd was still peaceful. There's a video of a Police Constable totally busted by a radio reporter about it. It was a stage managed set-piece for the ring-wing press.

I used to support the student cause, and so did my partner, she was a member of the NUS. Lots of my friends and co-workers also supported the students cause. Things are different now, now we do not. Its a shame they have decided to behave like this. I watched the protest in Brighton this week. Shameful and provocative behavior by the students and in my opinion alot were there to cause grief and i didnt see the old type of protest that we used to have. They just want to riot and its not helping.

even the tourists and the elderly were kicked and pushed back
by officers who had nothing but glee on their faces
this is how they protect the public?
yet they ran like dogs to defend the wall of the treasury!
