Anyway i think the entire story of Shaw and Sarah, the fact that undoubtely Sarah prove hard feelings for him (enough to tell Shaw her name) and, in general, the "hero" attitude of Daniel was all for making more dramatic, shocking and a little epic his final and unreedemable downfall as a villain

I'll never understand why the writers would do this. I mean, it was obvious from the start that Sarah and Chuck would become a couple, and that pretty much made this scene pointless. Makes no sense either.

I mean, she had no reason to trust Shaw over Chuck, and she said her real name to SHAW? Considering how protective she is as far as her past is concerned, what the hell? I love the show, but that was terrible writing.

The character had been protecting her secrecy with the others for 3 years, and all of that seemed to be going to hell in a handbag with Chuck's "changing". Shaw comes along, and seems to offer a new start since he is separate from that, a freedom from what seemed a burden at the time. It makes sense she'd do what she did. Ask any psychologist, it actually makes a ton of sense.

this scene had a lot more to do with sarah's feelings towards chuck than it had to do with her feelings towards shaw, in this part of his character's story I really do feel bad for the guy because honestly? shaw never had a chance. sarah went there because she needed someone to confide in and since he was the closest she had at the moment, who else could she go to? this was also important bc chuck needed to see how much his changes were affecting sarah and how close he was coming to losing her.

In was in one of the first episodes of season two, there was a flash back to her high-school years, and people were calling her Jenny. But she also said that since her childhood she used a lot of fake names (because of her father). So it was just a nickname.

@Seikahu Yes, those two names are fake, we were told that they were fake. They were given to her by her father when they moved and got a new identity. Her real name though, is Sam, she said it was Sam, the script writers said in interviwes that yes, her real name is Sam. All the other names were just covers, but Sam is the name she was born with. It is her true name.
