the biggest issue with the Casio calculator is the lack of support for it, the TI community is great and there are a lot of resources out there. casio, not so much. TI has become an industry standard and more help is available. idk about your high schools but mine always said to get the TI 83 because its the one they can help you with...

if it's for programming purpose, don't get the CAS, get the one that has a TI-84+ interchangeable keyboard because the Nspire itself barely even have programming abilities, not even an input command, necessary for most math programs
