I hope that you will make tutorial how to do this step by step. There is no tutorials anywhere for that kinda thing. I realy dont know how to do that.
Open the picture in Photoshop. Than select the wall using the Rectangular marquee tool, that you need to define as the texture.
Then go to edit menu and select define pattern and give a name. That's it.
When ever you need to use the pattern or texture go to edit menu and select fill. In the contents select pattern and select the pattern form the custom pattern drop down menu and click OK.
If you want a subtle texture instead of craquelure choose texturizer and on the drop down choose sandstone and you can tweak the params as you see fit ...nice tuts by the way
Thank you!!! this really helps, i didn't even know that you could do something like that!!! btw, how do you import a texture? i've been trying to figure it out, but i'm so lost....
Thanks, amazing tutorial and u kept it short 'n sweet ^^

I didn't import any texture. Please watch the tutorial again. I'm creating a texture effect only using Photoshop.
If you question is "How to export this artwork as texture?" please leave a comment.
I'll help you.

Oh, sorry for not specifying that!!! Yes, that was my question... but it's fine, I'll figure it out eventually. =]
And again, thank you for putting up this video tutorial, it's really helpful.

I'll describe the steps here for you as well as other audience having the same question.
If you wish to use the same texture again & again you need to define it as a Pattern.
Step 1: Go to "Select" menu and select "Select All"
Setp 2: Go to "Edit" menu and select "Define Pattern" and give a name for the pattern. (Eg. Wall Texture)
That's all!

If you need to use the pattern.
Step 1: Create a new canvas
Step 2: Go to "Edit" menu and select "Fill.."
Step 3: In "Contents" select "Pattern" from the drop down menu.
Step 4: Select the pattern from the "Custom Pattern" drop down menu and click OK.
That's it!
Happy Wall Texture....!
