I remember first time I got through this, took us 3 goes.
I was WHM 50 PT was
PLD 50
DRG 48
BLM 55
MNK 50
DRK 45
It was HARD but we made it through. take your 75 assists and ToaU + classes and stick em where the sun dont shine. If you didnt beat it pre ToAU you aint,loved FFXI, period.
anyone know where there's a video of the shadow lord fight from way back when? i mean before the level cap was raised to 75? that would be awesome to see 18 lv 60's wailing on this guy
same im gunna do some more research, i rememebr when it first came out i quit at 32 since it was all grinding, then agian i was 13 about so maybe i overlooked soemthing.
I went into this fight with my LS, i tanked the Shadow Lord with 66PLD/33WAR, at about 50% HP SL used invincible. His invincible lasted 20 minutes! neithor me or the SAM that was dding it was able to damage him. The whitemage had to Holy him untill he went into second form. At second form, we just compleatly owned his ass 'cause i had 300TP from being hit and that took 1/2 his HP away. Battlefield Clear Time : 23minutes, 0 seconds. (Hasaya 66PLD/33WAR, Bismarck Server) say hi sometime!
When you guys were still on the first half of the battle I was saying "They are so screwed". Didn't see the melee WHM coming in to save the day! LOL!

The game's audio seems atrociously too loud for the video. Audio seems to be cracking up or so. Other than that, nice vid!

no he doesn't have 20 mins of invincible, he switches between magic and DD every few seconds.
