Heard Steve Roach on Echoes on NPR as a girl and his music left a lasting impression. So beautiful. The horsehead nebula and the eagle nebula are so fascinatingly beautiful.
Steve Roach has made a lot of ambient music. Most of it is good, or very good. But this is something else. This particular track and some of the others from Mystic Chords & Sacred Spaces make Steve Roach truly a god among gods in ambient electronic music.. and music in general.
I'll never forget the $5 sale cassette I bought of this artist, back in the early 90's. His music is quite amazing for its experimental quality. Float away . . . .

@TheRaweed yes :) Steve Roach, Max Corbacho and Ian Boddy created the sound of the Neocron universe. I am waiting for NC3 , there is nothing that can compare even 10 years later, sad isn't it?
This makes me wonder how much changes just from experiencing something. Does light know how fast it goes...does it care? Does space have names for every event that occurs within it? Would things still occur like they do if there wasn't a conscience being such as a human to experience the event and say "hey, something happened there." I just wonder how much changes just by us consciously observing something.
When I watch this it makes life on earth seem pathetic in ways. I want to be out there exploring the grand cosmos and taking it all in, finding the true meaning of life and not existing like we do.
Steve roach is just amazing... copying the sounds/vibrations he felt in the higher Dimensions! The universe...An endless campaign of research requires. In other words, we will never find a way to discover the whole universe, we will never know what is way beyond our reach, where light did not shine yet, where everything can happen. A new life form, a new atoms, elements, galaxies, civilizations we did not expect to be found. Imagine a whole new planet, where magic takes place. Where life is endless.Where we can live in harmony. Where everything is possible.
As another commented said on a different SR video, Steve Roach takes music and turns in into something else entirely. One of my favorite tracks from Mystic Chords, amazing visuals thanks so much well done.
I absolutely love this stuff, it's so moving! I just don't see the point in buying more than one song by Steve though because they're all so very similar...I realize it's hard to throw creativity into hundreds of differents of songs of this same type, but I guess that's the one downfall to this type of music. It's still magical, though! And I listen to this song every night!

It has occured to me that these images are like a cosmic art gallery.
I wonder what it would be like if someone created an actual exhibit in which images like this were somehow re-created in real 3-D space, where you could walk around them and study them, as you would a sculpture or picture.
Just add some music like this, and you'd have an experience like you're floating through space, visiting all these amazing sights.

I'm looking to get a Roach CD. I love all the stuff I hear of his on Soma FM.
Can anyone recommend an album to start with? Currently listening to 'Sentient Breath', so anything similar. Thanks.

@rapist41 let yourself go with the music, it will eventually calm you! Come on, be spiritual, don't let anything bother you, and you'll be okay. Be productive and proactive, it will give a meaning to your life. Give it a try!

He named Steve Roach as an influence in an interview.
