guys, if you time his last 40yds to the zone he ran it in 3.8 secs. pretty sure he could muster up a 4.4 at the combine. besides, LSU fans will probably get to see how fast he can run 40 yards again next year with 5 people chasing him.

Well regardless of how we LSU fans didn't like that call, you have to give credit where it's due. Bama gave Florida a complete ass whipping.....I wish them luck against UT....Should be a good game, but I look for the SEC to win a FOURTH STRAIGHT BCS TITLE!

Also, you would have had to drive down the field in the 4th qtr. against maybe the best defense in NCAA football w/out your starting running back AND w/out your starting QB. So it wouldn't have made that much of a difference!!! NOt so fast!!! The game was already over! Stop whining and listening to biased FL-loving media. RTR!

Great run & catch, but let's not forget that when Julio made this play, PATRICK PETERSON WAS NOT IN THE GAME. Jones is a great receiver, but he did not make a single catch while being covered by Peterson- all while Peterson was cramping from fluid loss due to the flu earlier in the week. I will say it now: Had Peterson been covering Jones on that play- no way in hell he scores.

Great game, at any rate. Looking forward to next year's matchup already!

ummmm.....Peterson was out of the game b/c he was beat the %&$! up from covering Julio all night. That's why he left the game cramping 2x and out of breath. You make it sound like he was being substituted in for by coaches.

Seriously- he did have the flu.Up until they left BR for Tuscaloosa,he was receiving I.V. fluids.I think he played extremely well considering that.Julio is as fast as a scalded cat, though.

Although I of course believe it was a pick- that's no excuse.Bama outgained us by over 200 yds. They physically whipped us on the line of scrimmage. Like I said- no excuses- just get better and compete better. I know we will be back next year-but I expect Bama to be a preseason #1 & us in the top 10.

@blooberflat22 I know he's fast compared to us normal folks and even the most LB's, but he's not going to outrun the secondary against a half decent team. He never really has before, because he's just not a 4.3 type guy. He is 3x stronger than any other WR in the NCAA though, no denying that.

he runs like a 4.5 40 which is close, hes a lot faster than most people give him credit for, this year is the first year hes been 100% since he got to bama, plus playing on a running and defense type team wont really help, but i look for him to have a breakout year

Right u win some and lose some...these calls by the refs go different ways...the call on the field was incomplete pass..and there wasnt enough "indisputable" evidence to overturn the call..those are the rules

Well Julio touched the ball at the same time as the defender and julio was out of bounds. Anyone out of bounds touching a live ball means dead ball, incompletion.

The dude was in bounds but THAT is why it got called like it did.

If someone is out of bounds and touches the ball it is dead ball. He WAS in bounds but it didnt matter, julio CLEARLY touched it from out of bounds before the defender had control.

Thats because its one of those rules that not everybody knows like the one-foot-in rule. But the next day all on talk radio (sports) it was stated that the reason it wasnt overturned was due to the out of bounds touch.

As much as every fan "hates" a school during game week, we, as fans, must stick up for teams in the SEC. These guys play in the toughest conference in nation. LSU will be back next year and I guarantee Tiger Stadium will be rocking...
